The Miami Herald has put out another hit piece on so-called "assault weapons". Nevermind the article has much to do with straw purchases, which are already illegal.
This particular article has a number of gems, including:
''Furthermore, 150 firearms, both handguns and rifles, are not indicative of personal use,'' ATF Agent James Turner wrote in his criminal complaint.
According to Miami's police chief, they already are in the wrong hands.
''They're everywhere,'' Timoney said. ``At $100 or $200, everyone can afford one of these killing machines.''
I don't know what your gun shop sells, but I think mine sells some assault mausers for $97.
