Thread: Buying ammo online more expensive?

I have bought a number of times online for high-grade ammo for PD and found the biggest factor seems to be in shipping costs. Also, I use the price per round for calculations.
There are a bunch of ammo suppliers online, some are even more expensive with or without shipping charges.
For regular FMJ target rounds I use Walmart .40 .45 Winchester white box - haven't had any problems with it. But I shoot Glocks and I feel there is something in that too.

Why would you order online and pay more? Unless I can get it to my door cheaper than buying locally, I don't buy. My experience has been the opposite -- buying online can be substantially cheaper.

You need to shop more carefully.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.--River Tam

    Price it per round.

Factor in all the costs. Including the gas to get to your local walmart.

Usually buying in bulk will provide the best cost.

Sometimes internet is the best price, sometimes, not.

    Happy shooting.
