I dont feel like you lost anything. If she is this unable to have a discussion with you then you werent a team anyhow.

When my wife and I started dating she mentioned guns before I did and told me that she had some and if that was a problem I could leave now. LOL

    Obviously not a problem here.

You never told her you had a handgun. If she was such an opponent, I would have recommended a discussion before she had to "discover" that you had one.

It may reflect on a negative experience that she had. Maybe a family member shot themself or there was an accidental death. People are entitled to their opinions or beliefs. Just as we believe in the right to bear arms.

  7. Thanks guys, things really just weren't working out with this girl. I'm about to move out of town in a couple months anyway back to my hometown in the mountains. Maybe I'll meet a more conservative girl there.

Good luck with everything. You need the "Total Package" for it to work out:
    Chemistry
    Attraction
    Philosophy
    Same financial goals
    Complementary problem solving skills

We don't look for perfection. Just have to be accepting of the imperfections.

    Congrats on Graduation!!!

She will probably feel that way until she is victimized somewhere down the road. It is always amazing how liberal people are about firearms until their butt is on the line and the first thing they think is grabbing for a gun to defend themselves.

If she thought you were bad news, she needs to come to my house and take a tour.
