Thread: Tragic Story

Speaking as one whose home have been burglarized and who have been threatened by young PUNKS, I have absolutely no sympathy for this person. As they say "Payback is a ***** "

Doesn't matter. He didn't know the gun was loaded? He's playing with it. If another gun was in condition one with a manual safety with the safety off samething would happen. If the safety was one and he's playing with it he could have easly taken it off. The finger pulled the trigger. IMO doesn't natter what type of gun if a fool kid is playing with something he doesn't know how to operate. But this is why I never leave my gun in my car. If I did it would need a break proof lock box of some sort.

I have to say. Storing a handgun in your vehicle seems pretty stupid in the first place. Your vehicle is a lot more likely to be broken into before your home. Not that it couldn't have been stolen from the home. But just think a vehicle is a pretty stupid place to store a gun. I am not in any way sticking up for the scumbags who break into cars and steal. I hate theifs. I believe they should have their hands chopped off, but a person who steals doesn't deserve to die. A kid has been killed. That is someones son. I don't understand how you could look at a dead CHILD and say "Good, one less theif".
What would your Jiminy Cricket say? If the death of a kid by the hands of his stupid friend doesn't sadden you. Well... maybe you accidently squished that cricket.
That kid should go to prison. No doubt in my mind. But a kid NEVER deserves to be shot in the head just because he stole someones replaceable stuff.

Charles Manson was someone's son. Ted Bundy was someone's son. David Berkowitz was someone's son. I'm not losing any sleep tonight.
Anyone who says, "I support the 2nd amendment, BUT"... doesn't. Element of Surprise: a mythical element that many believe has the same affect upon criminals that Kryptonite has upon Superman.

But, in the wrong hands this is what happens.

I'm not bashing Glocks, but with no Safety,Accidents like this are an reality. I feel for both Families 2 young men are now gone.

I will say a prayer for both Families.
Every gun has a trigger that fires the gun. This could have happened to any model gun.

Locally a homeowner shot and killed two 19 year olds during a home invasion. I feel sorry for the homeowner not the two burglars, or their families. If their is any harm to the families it is caused by the criminals.

It sounds like the young man that got shot in the head would still be alive if he had not become a criminal.

"Don't do the crime if you can't do the time (or pay the consequences)!" (.... and some of those CAN be more than one bargains for.)

    Welcome to the real world.

Just to clarify, because I don't think this was made clear.

A "SAFETY" meaning something that prevents the trigger from being pulled and the gun going off. The Glock does not have a safety.

"SAFETY FEATURES" the glock has three that prevent the gun from firing for any other reason than the trigger being pulled, such as if dropped.

Now on my HK it has two "SAFETIES", one is a selector lever, the other is in the grip that is turned with a key. When either are engaged you can pull the trigger as hard as you want and it will not fire. These are in addition to the "SAFETY FEATURES" that are simular to the glocks.

I know this is unnecessary for most here but I think that some could benefit from a clarification.

The safety that stops my trigger from being pulled on my Glock is my brain. If I didnt trust my brain, I sure as heck wouldnt trust a small metal piece in the gun called the "safety".
