  1. 5.56 and 223

So real quick, I'm trying to figure out why surplus 5.56 that I've seen online is almost double what 223 is costing. I know the govt gets about 25 cents a round so why the hell do we have to pay more than that? I know the differences between the rounds which isn't much except for accuracy and maybe a little difference in powder charge. But we're the hell can I actually find 5.56 that isn't going to steal from me like the Feds have already done?

Check current prices as you can find XM193 from Federal at $0.50 a round plus shipping. Or even the XM855 green tip for the same price. That is down from the $1.00 a round the XM855 was going for.
