Jficsh sure knows a lot of details about this "news" hmmmm

    Just sayin :p

    Now back on topic.

Good for mr Zimmerman. A good HD shotgun is a wise choice for defending family and himself.

    I approve.
If it doesn't fit, FORCE it! If it breaks then it needed to be replaced anyway.

KSG is a great defensive weapon. Chances are GZ was looking to cut in line and grab one.
It was also a Kel-Tec that he used to defend himself against TM.

That's actually what I was thinking. Researching "the legality" of buying one fresh off the assembly line, most likely. To tell you the truth, I'm not sure about the legality of that either. I imagine it would break contract agreements with distributors or dealers, but I guess a manufacturer can legally transfer to whomever is legal to own one. Maybe S&W645 or other seller could answer that.

I also thought about Kel-Tec welcoming him with open arms because of all the free advertisement he's given them, but I'm not sure it was the kind of ink they really like. Not sure it's not either, just sayin', could be viewed from either perspective I guess.

I am seriously thinking of selling a couple of weapons to raise the money for a KSG. It's nearly impossible to find 'em new, but there are a few on Armslist right now, even a new one or two from dealers. MSRP is ~$1200 and they're asking anywhere from $1100 to $1750, which ain't all that bad considering they're so hard to find. A couple of the more expensive ones have some decent add-ons that come with it too though.

In case it seemed like I was hostile to Kel-Tec or something, not at all. One of the things I will sell (if I go that route) is an SU-16A that I've had for several years that hasn't given me any trouble at all. I also have a PF9, but I'm gonna hang onto that.

There's a fairly steep learning curve with the KSG, what with having to switch between two magazine tubes, but even one tube holds seven shells, so if you flub the switch while getting used to it, you're no worse off than with a standard "riot" style shotgun. It's a lot of firepower in a fairly small package, and if that's what GZ wants, I hope he can get his hands on one, and get on with the process of getting proficient with it. He probably will have a continuing need for it more than I will ever have.

I'm with jfisch. The crap the Media reports on is completely ridiculous. I have my phone set up to send my push notifications for major breaking news events. Some of the time, i's works. Boston bombing for example, it went off non stop. Most of the time however, it's worthless ********* that doesn't affect anybody. For example, a few days ago a got one "BREAKING NEWS: BRADLEY MANNING HAS DECIDED TO LIVE AS A FEMALE. HE WISHES TO BE CALLED CHELSEA." Who the f*ck cares? I'm never going to visit him in prison, so why do I need to know what his tranny name is going to be? That has absolutely no news value other than for town gossip and ratings. George Zimmerman was and is just an everyday guy. The fact that the media jumps all over any tiny little thing about him that could stir controversy or gossip is disgraceful in my opinion.

  6. That shotgun is a piece of crap! I hop he does better...

My thanks to the moderators for providing the ignore feature. I like contrarian points of view, they make me re evaluate my positions but some posters seem to feel they are provoking thought when really they just want to provoke. If I don't respond to flames from someone you will be able to figure out whom I just put on ignore Neither he nor I will care.

I'm just wondering why anyone thinks TMZ reports "news" in the first place? I agree with you; a guy taking a tour of a factory is not news. I have no idea why the Blaze picked it up from TMZ. Maybe Beck (and crew) aspire to be the online version of the Enquirer. I will definitely take their "coverage" of this "story" into account from now on.

TMZ is a joke. Disappointing to see The Blaze partake in this garbage.

For what it's worth, thinking the deal with the articles (the ones I have seen) about "Manning" have more to do with who is going to foot the bill to turn "Bradley" into "Chelsea". Also wish that Zimmerman would lay a little low. He (in my opinion) is assisting the race baiting hacks and the media in keeping the Saint Skittles charade alive and well.

I love the Kel-Tec KSG.... when my wife agrees that I either "need" another firearm, or agrees that I can get another safe to hold them, that's on my shopping list too.

To all gov't officials, I have no firearms, nor is the safe for storage of firearms... I need it only for personal papers. ~disclosure
