My first handgun was chambered for the 9mm Makarov... my next was a .40. I have several others, but have yet to get a .22 handgun. In fact my last rifle purchase finally was a .22.

*shrugs* From the posts it seems I'm the norm.

I started with a .22 because I wanted a handgun to hunt squirrels, and pretty much anything bigger is overkill. I had .22 handguns for many years before I ever was interested in carrying a pistol for self defense.

My first was a 22LR rifle I bought at a pawn shop, Same day I bought a 12ga Shotgun. From there I went to nothing for awhile then to 40 then to 45 then I built my Seekins AR 223/5.56. It definitely is an addiction lol
