Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone? What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets? What if we flipped through it several time a day? What if we turned back to go get it if we forgot it? What if we used it to receive messages from the text? What if we treated it like we couldn't live without it? What if we gave it to Kids as gifts? What if we used it when we traveled? What if we used it in case of emergency? This is something to make you go....hmm...where is my Bible? Oh, and one more thing. Unlike our cell phone, we don't have to worry about our Bible being disconnected because Jesus already paid the bill. Makes you stop and think 'where are my priorities?
look at the survival vest 101 article in the survival part of the forum...The Good Book is the first thing I packed and is included in every survival vest and or kit I build.
You make a very valid point, how may of us carry the Bible Concealed instead of Open. Glock 27 Concealed on my Right Hip and Bible Open Carry in my Left Hand, so that I can use my right hand to either shake another persons hand in friendship or draw my weapon if threatened.
I respect my bible I keep it safe in a case and I cherish it too. When I got saved my pastor told me to try to read your bible once a day every day and so I try to read it often and plus i don't have a cell phone so. I guess that is why I read the bible instead of texting everyone.
