A little dissapointed with my P40. Had this pistol 4 or 5 years but never used it much. Decided to start using it as my CCW so dug it out, cleaned it up and took it out back to do a little practice shooting. The dang thing locked open after every shot. Took it back inside and tore it down. If you look on the side of the frame there is a tiny wire loop that functions as a slide stop retainer and hold down. Mine was broken. Called KAHR and they said this was a common breakage item when pushing the slide stop lever back into the frame after cleaning. What a POS part on a otherwise sturdy weapon. Ordered 2 springs @ $6.00 each + shipping but rethinking my idea about using this weapon for everyday carry. Just my 2 cents worth, maybe a nickel.

I have a PM9, a K9 Elite and a E9. The K9 and E9 have been 100% from the beginning, the PM9 had to go back but has been great since I got it back. They all shoot great for their size and are wonderful to carry due to their minimal width. I'm still looking for the right holster, I think the next is going to be a DM Bullard Dual Carry.

    Hi,
Just joined. Will pick-up my new Kahr TP4543 on Monday Aug 17, 2009. Looking forward to installing XS night sight.
I have a Sig 229 which, although it's big, is very reliable and as you all know, it shoot great. Also, have a Tarus Ti445 in 44spl that is my CCW.
Will reload for the 45acp and curious what might be recommended as a proper powder. Think about Hodgon HS6. Want to be sure to have enough power to active the slide for proper functioning. Bullet will most likley be Hornady XTP 185 gr.
I will post pictures when I figure it out.
Red hat, If you will plese give me some directions on posting pics.

My PM9 is my favorite carry gun. For me it goes beyond the gun's size. It is one of the few handguns I own that I can shoot accurately without any warm up, and I don't need a lot of practice to stay proficient with it. Great design.

I love my CW9 so much that I'm fixing to purchase the PM9 or PM40. I can't wait I love the year end bonuses and tax refunds. I just picked up another Glock a couple of weeks ago, but I gotta say, nothing carries like the slim and trim Kahr and the DAO trigger is awesome. Cheers. GBK

I walked into a gun shop a few days after getting my permit and stumbled across a like new kahr PM40 with night sites and fell in love. Bought it on the spot. I then bought a DeSantis Thumb Break Mini Slide in black and must say, I couldn't be happier. After tare down and cleaning, this pistol is built awesome and couldn't be easier to disassemble and reassemble. Made in the U.S.A. too!
