I am always looking for a good, shall we say, spy novel to read. I truly enjoyed the Vince Flynn novel The Third Option. I have read several Robert Ludlum novels. They are always good, but I do not like the fact that he creates firearms that aren't actually real. I just finished The Messenger by Daniel Silva. It was a good read. I read David Baldacci's Total Control. It was OK, but he really bothered me when his main character's S&W 9mm went full auto on her. I don't think I'll read any more of his. I am currently reading Wild Fire by Nelson Demille. I have to say it is a good book. It does have some pretty bad language in it. I know that probably makes it more realistic, but I prefer a lack of profanity. Anyway, share what you have read and enjoyed. As well as what you did not enjoy.
Well I finished Wild Fire. As a whole it was a very good book. It had very realistic descriptions of specific firearms and how they would act in certain circumstances. I guess the fact that Demille was an infantry platoon leader in Vietnam helped. It it had had less profanity it would be one of the top books I've read.

Yes I quite enjoyed the Hostage, which is the only one I have read so far. I have purchased all the others in that series except the new one. I just finished the Orpheus Deception by David Stone. It was only his second book. It was based on a couple of CIA agents. David Stone is a pen name. He will not tell his true indentity. He has a military background as well as working for federal intelligence agencies. It was a very good book.

I have found both of David Stone's books in the bargain section at books a million. I think they were around $7 for hard back editions.
I just realized that I do Not like Robert Ludlum books. I read half of "Bourne supremacy",and I thought it sucked,and the movie was completely different. The movie was better. usually the book is better,but not this time.
