Well I can say I like my Glocks,But there is NO Reason to act like that. A type of gun does not represent who you are or determine if you are better than anyone else.
Everyone has their own preference.....Just like cars, clothes, food Etc.. I say stick to what You like , If it makes You happy then thats all that matters..
Its Better To Have It And Not Need It Than To Need It And Not Have It.

It's not Glock guys, that guy was just a major jerk
I would have a strongly worded discussion with the owner of the store.

Differant strokes for differant folks. I like dbl action or dbl action only handguns. I do not like single action autos ie 1911, etc. Some people love them. People are differant. I know what I like and that is all that counts. Everyone has their favorites. When you run into someone like this just consider the source and chalk it up to ignorance.

  5. I've been all over the map with what I've carried and shot. I kept coming back to Glocks or Springfields and after my last bad experience with a manufacturer I'm staying with my Glocks and Springfields.

Anyone who wants to badmouth the Jericho 941 or the Baby Eagle in the all metal versions simply has not shot one of them. They are tanks to say the least and quite accurate as well. My Baby Eagle II in .45ACP was such a wonderful shooter that my wife even enjoyed shooting it...I'm still kicking myself for parting with it.

As for the jack-wagon that wanted to badmouth you as well as your equipment, please know that not all Glock shooters are like that. There's always a jerk in every group.

I've done my fair share of bad-mouthing certain manufacturers and Taurus seems to come up EVERY time. I've had and witnessed so much (more than 25 bad products over the past 2 years...newer revolvers and the PT line of semiautos mostly) of their dangerous junk on ranges that it makes me sick to know it's out there. It's so bad that if you're lucky enough to get a good one you had better hang on to it. It makes me miss the quality of the pre-Rossi buyout semiautos and revolvers Taurus used to make.

Your IMI/IWI and S&W products won't give any complaints unless it's a specific model from either. I had just one complaint about my BE and it was because it was in the rush to get them to the US before Magnum Research stopped importing them...had a bad decocking pin, which was replaced with a case hardened pin promptly. I've yet to hear any feedback on the newer IMI/IWI polymer line...sure would be nice to run into someone who has one that will let me shoot it.

    Enjoy your Jericho and S&W!

So why do these people insult, degrade and make fun of people who donít have Glockís? Let me tell you what happened so you have the info. Iím sorry if this is long but you need the story.

Yesterday I went the Gun Range with a friend of mine. I had recently bought two new guns (by recently I mean in the past 6 months) that had never been shot so I wanted to go and play for a while. I bought an IWI Jericho 941B compact in 9mm and an S&W M&P9 Full Size. I also brought the rest of my guns so we could have stuff to shoot, my baby an HK USP9 Compact, S&W Model 10-5 Snub, and an S&W Model 66. We get our lane time and proceed to blow the hell out of our paper targets when this guy from a couple lanes down comes in with the Glock catalog (He had one of every Glock, maybe exaggerating here a little but he had at least 10 Glocks in all different sizes and calibers) wearing a Glock shirt, with a Glock Range Bag stuffed with Glock gun rugs. Iím sure if Glock sells underwear he was wearing that too. He starts to shoot and he is a good shot, nailing targets at 10, 15, and 25 yards with tight groups. He seeís our targets, we were just playing to get a good feel for the new guns, and while they were really tight groups with, they at least hit the 8.5 by 11 paper. He proceeds to tell me that if I had a Glock, Iíd be bulls eyeing all the targets. I said ok thatís fine, but these are new guns and I just want to enjoy shooting for a while and see how the gun feels before I start zeroing in with the gun (Cause that takes FOREVER!!). He then looks at my arsenal, and says that the only thing I could and should hit with those guns is the garbage can I need to put them into.

Ok, I can take people poking fun about myself and stuff I own, so I say sure and proceed to keep shooting. By the end of the night all my shots are in the center 4 inch square with all the guns at 10 yards, which makes me happy and my friend and I really had a lot of fun. The Glock guy had left the lane about 10 minutes before we were finished so I had forgotten about him. When we left the lane, he was outside talking about how bad our guns were with the range officer who was just nodding and not really paying attention (Glazed over look on his face like he hears this all the time). He pointed me out as I left the range and yelled that they should allow my garbage guns on the lane. I asked what the hell his problem was and walked away to go get some cleaning supplies cause I was out of Hoppes 9 and had one hell of a cleaning night ahead of me. He proceed to walk up and keep talking to me about how Glock is far better to anything out on the market, and he kept going on and on and on about this for about 5 minutes. Finally I told him I donít care I donít like the Glock and please leave me alone. By that time some of the other guys who worked at the store started in on how Glock is the best gun thing ever and kept encouraging the guy. Finally I walked out to people mocking me and calling me a baby for standing around to argue.

I know I did the right thing and Sticks and Stones and all, but I feel that if I donít like Glock or S&W or Springfield I shouldnít be made fun of or mocked. I also feel that the store employees should have said something to Glock Guy instead of helping him. I felt really embarrassed and bullied by this and while it will be a cold day in hell before I ever walk in to that place again, I want to know where the Glock people get the right to do this. I love my guns and am an HK guy, but I wouldnít mock or call somebody out for not having a HK gun. I was just wondering what you guys thought about it.
Its unfortunate you and your freind ran into such a extream case, my wife and I prefer Glocks but also have Taurus's, Rugers, a Walther, and did have two S&W, it is Very rare for me to bad mouth another persons weapon no matter what it nay be, if it go's boom reliably it will kill you, no matter who made it, the only instince I recall is about a year ago a dude came to the range, with a new Hi Point 9mm, as I said any gun will kill you, but this thing almost wiped out the guy shooting it, its a good thing he was inexperianced, because if he was holding and sighting correctly, when the slide flew off the back of the gun it would have hurt him bad, lucky it just nicked his arm, we went over to him and he had a scared shitless look on his face, i could see he was not hurt, so when he calmed down he asked what may have caused that to happen, i said I did not know but the qaulity of his pistol leaves a lot to be desiered, I told him to take the pieces and go back to his dealer and ether get your money back or a trade to a better gun, we suggested Glock, Taurus as the best for the money, this guy like everybody else that buys a Hi Point did it cause there cheap, he said he paid $155, out the door, the theif that sold him this POS was selling Glocks for $600, dam rip off artist, it was a large sporting good store,...........bottom line to this long winded piece is its important to carry a qaulity weapon but you should never bad mouth another persons gun just because its not up to your PERSONAL standards, its just not cool

I just reread your post and forgot to tell you something, you need to contact the owner of the range/store you were at and tell him of your experiance, i can not beleve a buisness man would knowingly allow this sort of thing from is employees, and if its halfway conveniant, find another range

  8. Love Glocks....Hate Jerks.

    Cool

I carry a Glock 23 because I like the way it feels in my hand but I do not worship it. My all time favorite is a Luger that my uncle brought back from WWI. It is too old to be playing with now but I enjoyed shooting it years ago. I own several semi-automatics and a couple of S&W wheel guns. I enjoy shooting them all and could really care less what someone else shoots. It is all in good fun and, when the chips are down, a bullet from any other gun will kill you just as dead. You can wear a Rolex watch or a Timex. What difference does it make? All you want to know is the time anyway. Same thing with a gun. I want to shoot what I like, not what some jerk is hustling. By all means, register a complaint with the management at the store also!!

I am a big Glock fan, and that guy was just a jerk who is over-compensating for something small. He also probably rides a Harley, and says anything else is inferior junk too.

Funny isn't it? In these days of everybody owning a camera phone, there aren't any pictures to support your fairy tale. There never are. Surprise! There are also no documented instances of this ever happening to a Hi-Point.

To the OP. As a loyal Glock owner I'm sorry that you ran into the official Glock owners ******* of the year. We're not all like him. And as a loyal Hi-Point owner, you've just been exposed to the opposite side of the coin... Dimwits who just know that Hi-Points are bad because they're cheap, even though they don't have any actual experience with them.

    Happy shooting.
