Looking for DOB S&W Mod 10-7

    Greetings,
My Dad just gave me his old service revolver and I'm trying to determine it's DOB which I think is the early 80's. Serial number is 4D62xxx. Would anyone here happen to have a S&W serial number reference that they wouldn't mind checking?

    Many thanks in advance.

    Regards,
    Richard

I'll check my book for you in the morning. Too late and cold to go to my shop now!

I finally made it out of the house. It looks like 1979 was the year it was made. A lot of 10's were made in 79.
