Locally We Can Make a Difference-sfl-banner.png

Members of Steubenville For Liberty met with the Jefferson County GOP Executive Board and what we came away with is we all share the same values spelled out in the Republican Party Platform.

Most of us have become disenchanted with many Politicians in the State and Federal Government that claim to be Conservative or Tea Party Republicans yet their voting record and acts don’t match those values.

I’ve said many times we as Conservatives don’t have anything to offer; now I realize how totally wrong I was. Maybe we can’t offer free cell phones but we can offer a way out of current march toward Socialism.

We can’t immediately make a difference at the State or Federal level but Locally we can start.

There are many Jefferson County Residence that share the same values that are spelled out in the Republican Party Platform.

Right now there are 39 vacancies in the Republican Party Central Committee that need filled prior to the March 2016 election.

We need good people regardless of Color or Creed.

"We reaffirm our support for a Constitutional amendment defining marriage as the union of one man and one woman".

"A serious threat to our country’s constitutional order, perhaps even more dangerous than presidential malfeasance, is an activist judiciary, in which some judges usurp the powers reserved to other branches of government. A blatant example has been the court-ordered redefinition of marriage in several States".

"Obamacare ” It was the high-water mark of an outdated liberalism, the latest attempt to impose upon Americans a euro-style bureaucracy to manage all aspects of their lives".

"Through Obamacare, the current Administration has promoted the notion of abortion as healthcare. We, however, affirm the dignity of women by protecting the sanctity of human life".

"We uphold the right of individuals to keep and bear arms, a right which antedated the Constitution and was solemnly confirmed by the Second Amendment".

"All security measures and police actions should be viewed through the lens of the Fourth Amendment; for if we trade liberty for security, we shall have neither".

"Cutting spending is not enough; it must be accompanied by major structural reforms, increased productivity, use of technology, and long-term government downsizing".

"We will end the EPA’s war on coal".

"We reject the use of taxation to redistribute income, fund unnecessary or ineffective programs, or foster the crony capitalism that corrupts both politicians and corporations".

"Our goal is a tax system that is simple, transparent, flatter, and fair".

"Any value added tax or national sales tax must be tied to the simultaneous repeal of the Sixteenth Amendment, which established the federal income tax".

"We support the public display of the Ten Commandments as a reflection of our history and of our country’s Judeo-Christian heritage, and we affirm the right of students to engage in prayer at public school events in public schools".

"We oppose “any form of amnesty” for those who, by intentionally violating the law, disadvantage those who have obeyed it. Granting amnesty only rewards and encourages more law breaking".
