What are some things that we can expect from God when we choose to believe and accept His son, Jesus? The Word says, “WE ARE the righteousness of God IN Christ.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God. ALL who are "Born Again" are righteous in the sight of God.

No disagreement whatsoever but this righteousness is not the product of our own efforts ( as some are implying) it is imputed to us through Grace.

If you've read the Bible as many times as you say you have perhaps you should consider a plain English translation. Maybe the Good News translation to start out

John 14:6 KJV "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.. No one comes to the Father, except through me. ... He will take of the things of Christ and show them unto us, and He will impart them … ... 'Let not your heart be troubled ... believe in God, believe also in Me."

The only thing we can take with us that will be counted as good is are "works" upon leaving the flesh and returning to the Father..

Had a discussion with a co-worker the other day, who stated that the bible is a factual historical document, to be followed to to the letter.
I asked him how he reconciled the things that have been proven as not factual. He said there were none.
    I provided examples.
    He couldn't respond.

Oh, and you wanna' get to heaven? Just believe and repent before you die.

I heard an excellent definition of "believe" on the radio this afternoon; to believe is to live as if something is true.

That's a little more than mere mental assent

So that's your plan, be a judgmental hate spewing bigot for most of your life and say your hail mary at the end?

It’s LOVE that constrains us to be truthful and tell people like you that they are lost and headed for Hell if they don’t know Jesus Christ, not hate. Hate says nothing.

At least one non-believer gets this. Atheist Penn Jillette (of the magician duo, Penn & Teller) has famously said:

"I've always said that I don't respect people who don't proselytize. I don't respect that at all. If you believe that there's a heaven and a hell, and people could be going to hell or not getting eternal life, and you think that it's not really worth telling them this because it would make it socially awkward--and atheists who think people shouldn't proselytize and who say just leave me alone and keep your religion to yourself--how much do you have to hate somebody to not proselytize? How much do you have to hate somebody to believe everlasting life is possible and not tell them that?" Exactly!

"being a judgmental hate spewing bigot " sounds more like XD40 that Ringo.
