Using IMR 4064 canister powder and LC once fired brass, I found I reached 2800 fps at least 2-3 grains below the charges listed in most manuals needed to reach that velocity. One reason is my use of CCI #34 primers but this verifies the need to reduce loads when going with military brass. One of my test loads gave higher velocity than Remington 150 grain factory loads so I dropped that one back one grain and it's working fine. I advise using a chrony as part of load workup especially with unproven components.
