    It's funny that you brought this up today.... I was out about a week ago. Not quite what you had in mind, I have some work to do ..

    So:

    This is a Mtn Dew can,,,,the group is 3 shots measuring about 1.75 inches. Not to good for 100 yards,but it was at 300,so I saved it all these years. 25-06 Ruger M77 ST,87 grain Hornady spire pt,h414,cci 250.

    100 yards. 280 Remington. Top group .44 inches or so. The group on the bottom measures .59. both were fired with a Browning A bolt. 140 gr Sierra spbt,RL 22,CCI 200.

    Last but not least,well actually this is the smallest group.
    100 yards. Top group runs around . 85,this is the fouling group. Bottom group measures .176 center to center.
    Rem M 700 sps varmint,223 Remington,65 Gr. Sierra spbt,Varget,CCI 400.

    haha I will try this over Columbus day weekend. Got a couple of days off. That is the next time i will be at the range. I will even post the failure pics just to show I tried lol

    Are we looking for sub MOA hits here with rifles that are capable of those groups at 300 meters ???

    I can get sub .5 MOA with the right barrel, the proper ammo and a good platform on which to shoot from, assuming we are talking about AR style rifles. My les Baer Thunder Ranch will do it all day long, clean or unclean, cold bore, hot bore etc.

    With a standard Mil Spec AR we are doing good to get 2 MOA or 4 MOA at 100 meters.

    Not to sound like a spooge, but what is the real purpose of this exercise ???
