    Where do you shoot?

I am curious as to where people go to shoot. Here we have the family farm and we just go over to the "bottom" and set up. It has a benchrest and target frames set up at ranges from 50 to 300 yards. We used to have 400 yard capability but we planted pines. I am under the impression its not that easy for everyone else. Never given it much thought except I see people stating they are going to the range. Just made me curious.

Great free range about 30 minutes away or a private range with my brother in law.

I also have a farm and a range, but the only safe shooting area is in a hollow and I can only get about 75 yards.

I sight in muzzel loaders, 308, and my 22 mag there, but am comfortable with the 308 at 150 yards.

The longest shot I have taken a deer with my 45 cal muzzel loader was 70 yards, we can only use pistols, black powder, and shotguns for deer.

In my hilly part of Ohio we don't get many shoots further than that.

I am also a member of a local Sportsmans Club. They only had a 35 yard pistol range when I joined. I took my dozer over and made a 150 yard rifle range, and a couple portable shooting bences for them.

Its according where I am. If I'm home from school, my granddad has a 100yd rifle range set up at his place with a bench rest and up to a 25yd pistol range. I also shoot my pistol in the back yard at my house.

When in school and its not hunting season, I go to my uncles farm about fifteen minutes from my campus. If I want to shoot during hunting season, there's a small range in the local state forest. Not my favorite place to go. Seen some things there by some folks shooting that kinda scared me. But its a last resort for me.
From my cold dead fingers will you take my freedom. And even then you will have to pry it out with a crowbar.

We have a fantastic range here in town where I will pay to go. Range USA > Home ( DNN 3.1.1 )

If money is a problem (usually is), I'll go to a buddy's farm and blow it out over there. Both the farm and the range are about 25 minutes away, so the only benefit is the $12 savings at the range.

Man I wish I had my own property to shoot on!! For pistols there are a few good indoor ranges, 50yr and 25yr, around me. One ok outdoor range with a max of 100 yards. Then about 45 min north there is a nice 200 yard outdoor range. When I'm wanting to spend a few hours shooting I had up that way. Then about 30 mins south there is a 1000 yard range. I have not been to that one yet but now that my savage is all setup I'm wanting to go try it out.

I will say they treat me good at one of the indoor ranges. I shoot there a lot and have taken many classes there. So if they are not to busy they normal let me shoot for free.

I'm in the middle of nowhere in Central Nevada. We go shooting just about anywhere, as long as were a mile from the nearest dwelling. We also have a rifle range with targets ranging from 50-1000 yards. The backstop is a mountain.

I have a couple friends who have some land that let my family and I come shooting whenever we want. I like that much better than going to a range with range masters breathing down your neck tapping on your shoulder and yelling at you if you shoot "too fast".

there was an indoor range that I loved when I lived in utah. you could even rent full auto guns there. man that was fun!

I have a now empty old pasture that I shoot in. It has a great valley that makes a good back stop. I used to go to a range but started just shooting out in the pasture. No fees and don't need to waite in line.
