About marowski
Over the last 20+ years, I have been involved in firearms in one way or another. My journey started when I was about eight when a family friend and New York State trooper and firearms instructor took me to the range and let me shoot my first handgun; a .44 Magnum revolver. Although I remember the first shot scaring the daylights out of me, I also recall being thrilled and amazed at how much I enjoyed it. I also learned the basics of firearm safety and techniques at that time from the same instructor. Since that time, I have taken advantage of every opportunity to get experience with any firearms in which I have available. When I didn't have access to firearms, I took aim at other marksmanship activities such as archery and entered competitions during high school using a recurve bow I spent an entire summer carving and bending myself.

Throughout the last two decades, I have had the privilege and honor to help many of my friends and colleagues learn to handle firearms safely and refine their shooting skills. Many of them are local and federal law enforcement officers. Most recently, I is enjoying teaching my son and daughter both archery and firearm skills on the weekends.

I am currently a member of the NRA (life member), IDPA and USPSA. I do not compete much anymore but do train regularly on and off the range. I am a NRA Certified Firearms Instructor and and NRA Certified Refuse To Be A Victim Instructor.
