About SafehouseFirearms
A little about myself: My name is Erin. I am a husband and a father, a son and a brother, a friend and a patriot.

Firearms have always been a passion of mine. I remember my first shooting experience, when I was about ten years old, with a bolt-action .22-caliber rifle at a youth camp. I wasn’t the best shot on the range… but I’m sure I had the most fun. I shot as often as I could. But, spending my formative years in Rhode Island (a traditionally anti-gun state) did not lend itself to a lot of shooting opportunities.

It wasn’t until I joined the Army as a Cavalry Scout that I got the opportunity to spend a significant amount of time shooting. And I would shoot every chance I got. I made it a personal goal of mine to qualify “expert” on every weapons system available to me. It didn’t matter what it was: the 9mm handgun, the M16, the M60 machine-gun, the M4 Carbine, the 40mm grenade launcher. I didn’t just want to fire it… I wanted to fire it well. While I didn’t manage to qualify “expert” on every weapons system, I did on most.

As a soldier, I was trained that I depended on everyone else… and they on me. And because of this, I embraced the fact that ensuring my own safety and that of my fellow soldiers was the most important thing I could accomplish on the range. So shooting became of secondary importance to safety and I committed to never put myself or anyone else in danger by my actions or inaction.

Fast-forward to today and I’m still the same guy. Although I’m no longer in the Army, I still have people who depend on me. My wife and my children expect me to keep them safe… and to keep myself safe. And every family wants and deserves the same. It doesn't matter whether there are two parents or one, two children or ten… everyone wants and deserves to feel safe.

Through Safehouse Firearms Instruction, my goal is to help you do just that. My goal is to train every student of mine how to properly handle a firearm, protect themselves, their loved ones, and their property, and stay safe and accident-free in the process. I want husbands and wives, and parents and children to learn together in a friendly, helpful, and stress-free environment.

There are a lot of “tough guys” out there who will teach you how to be tactical in an urban environment or how to wage war against the zombie horde. But if you want to be secure, knowing you have the skills to defend yourself and your family and keep your house a safe house, please consider training with Safehouse Firearms Instruction.
