Thread: Non-resident OPEN carry allowed in Michigan?

  1. Non-resident OPEN carry allowed in Michigan?

So, say I was a Canadian with proper 6NIA to bring my pistol (and ammo, I know the US export laws) across the border into the U.S. (specifically Sault Ste. Marie), can I open carry? If so, given confrontation by police (I know you don't have to show ID) what would showing a Canadian ID result in, if anything?

I need to find a quality holster for my CZ75B that will handle the higher aftermarket sights, so if I could bring the gun to the sports stores that would be swell.

First .. Welcome to the site..
For you first post you did ask a good question.
There are a couple guys that live in Ontario that may be able to help.
Mich Open carry may be a good place to ask that question as well. Michigan Open Carry, Inc. - Index

and MCRGO MCRGO - Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners are other resources.
