An unusual question - why do you ask?

(The only background I could find: Use of CCW triggers heart implant??? - THR)

The combination of a CCW permit and an implantable cardiac defibrillator isn't illegal in VA and in half-a-dozen other states I just checked. Whatever state you live in, simply Google <state name> & CCW & application. Let us know if you are having trouble finding your state's CCW laws.

Not an issue in South Carolina, FWIW.

    Doesn't disqualify you in NC.

Disqualifiers in most states revolve around: Felonies of any kind, violent misdemeanors, domestic violence, and mental illness.
