    This is just one of the many errors Snopes has put out there as truth.

    Festus the Snopes link deals with the Census and the Jedi faith becoming an official religion not that any particular population says it follows the "Jedi" faith. I hope this was a joke. Also, if you read towards the bottom of the Snopes page it does talk about a number being assigned to the "Jedi" faith and why.
