    Something I still live by

    When I joined the U.S.A.F. years ago we had a creed to we were to follow. Since re-readiung it still apply's even today.

    Air Police Creed

    I am a Air Police member,
    I hold allegiance to my country,
    devotion to duty and personal
    integrity above all.

    I will wear my badge
    of authority with dignity and restraint,
    and will promote by example
    high standards of conduct,
    appearance, courtesy,
    and performance.

    I seek no favor
    because of my position.
    I perform my duties in a firm,
    courteous, and impartial manner,
    irrespective of a person's
    color, race, religion, national
    orgin or sex.

    I strive to merit
    the respect of my fellow airmen
    and all with whom I
    come in contact.

    Even my old squadron patches tells what type of a person I am.

    And I just might. The only problem I'd envision immediately was that as soon as I said something like "God-Fearing Patriot" or something, the site would erupt. Then again so what? I just might, Reb...

    Screw that. Make it stand for what is RIGHT, not what makes everybody feel nice and cozy.

    Many a young person learned the following. It would not be a bad example for a start on an oath. Throw in a pledge to uphold and defend the Constitution and you have a pretty good oath.

    On my honor I will do my best
    To do my duty to God and my country
    and to obey the Scout Law;
    To help other people at all times;
    To keep myself physically strong,
    mentally awake, and morally straight.

    The Boy Scout Oath
    By faith Noah,being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear,prepared an ark to the saving of his house;by the which he condemned the world,and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith Heb.11:7
