Also obummer said he would not force churches to marry gays. I predict that this is written in sand. just a matter of time when he will demand that Catholic Churches marry them. Also a matter of time when someone will go to a Catholic Church and demand to be married. Then when turned down they will file a law suit. Then SCOTUS will impose their morals on everyone just like they did today.

It does seem that the libs keep pushing to get a rebellion so they can declare martial law. Perhaps I am wearing a tin foil hat.

  3. This is part of the reason that this country is the way it is, any time when you have liberal passing bill for plan parent hood, abortion, same sex marriage and things like the morning pill.

The reason the unbelievers have such an issue with the folks that believe, in my humble view, is the begging of the gnashing of teeth, it is trying to explain blue to a blind person, it is a hate. My Lord and Savior is all about love and peace. If I did not believe in Him and my neighbor does, I would only laugh at the foolishness as I would of the Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy or B. Hussein Obama’s birth certificate that states Hawaii. The old difference between a conservative and a liberal. A liberal does not like guns he wants to ban them all, a conservative does not buy one. A liberal does not like or believe in a god and he does not want anyone to worship, a conservative stays home and mows the grass or watches a sports event on the TV.

My guess is that when the Supreme Court gets around to recognizing Sharia law that they'll revisit this decision. Until then, this is the new "normal."

They could call it what they want and all of us Christians could continue to call marriage what it is - marriage (a religious ceremony joining a man and a woman).

True-- marriage is a religious ceremony. But, it is much, MUCH more than that!

Marriage is a "spiritual" union of one man & one woman (two people becoming one). In a very real sense a married couple (man & woman) become one flesh. When this is done in the way God intends, it becomes a "supernatural" act of (AGAPE) LOVE that will bring about GREAT blessings in a couple life that will last for generations; (even throughout ETERNITY)!

On the other hand, homosexuality is NOT based on Biblical LOVE the way God intends. Homosexuality, (hetrosexual) fornication and other sexual perversions are birthed out of SIN and "Eros" love that stems NOT from God; but, from sinful flesh and a lost soul. This make homosexuality something that can NEVER bring about the blessings that God desires; or the "AGAPE" Love that he wishes to express in peoples lives through marriage.

America is by no means a Christian nation, it's a secular nation with some Christians living in it. I'm not surprised at all by this ruling and I don't really think it changes anything, it just makes one more sin legal.

God's ways are not the Supreme Court's ways

The LORD says in Isaiah 55:8, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways." Most assuredly, this holds true for the wisest among the branches of the Federal government as evidenced by the recent decision of the Supreme Court regarding marriage. The Supreme Court was very specific-benefits cannot be denied legally married couples. States address who is legally married. If the states say that marriage includes same sex couples, then benefits afforded married couples cannot be denied to those of the same sex. Interesting logic, especially since the US Constitution really does not address the definition of marriage. The Court ignores any definition of marriage.

The Genesis account of marriage could not be clearer. Eve was created from the rib of Adam and God brought her to Adam and he said in Genesis 2:23, "This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called Woman because she was taken out of Man." In the next verse, God said, "Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh." Jesus reiterated that marriage by definition is between only a man and a woman when he said in Mark 10:8, "And they two shall be one flesh: so then they are no more two, but one flesh." So no matter what the White House, the Congress or the Supreme Court says, God says marriage is between a man and a woman.

In fact, I would argue that there is no such thing as same sex marriage from a Biblical world view. Marriage is not marriage unless it is between a man and a woman. The thought that there is same sex marriage is describing marriage in a way that cannot be considered marriage. The state may want to redefine marriage, but in doing so it is really abolishing the institution of marriage and family thereby redefining legally what is meant only spiritually as manifest in the flesh. The basic element of society is marriage. It is how that society sustains itself, prospers, advances. The absence of marriage will result in the breakdown of society. This is something missed by politicians who are to uphold and protect our nation.

In a 2012 speech, Masha Gessen, Russian born journalist and well known LGBT marriage activist said to great applause: "I agree, it's a no-brainer that we should have the right to marry, but I also think equally that it's a no-brainer that the institution of marriage should not exist...That causes my brain some trouble, and part of it why it causes me trouble is because fighting for gay marriage generally involves lying about what we're going to do with marriage when we get there, you know, because we lie that the institution of marriage is not going to change, and that is a lie. The institution of marriage is going to change and it should change. And again I don't think it should exist." That's the agenda's dirty little secret. It is not God's thought or way, but rather the thinking of SATAN-and the SUPREME COURT.

Thought provoking. Many people believe that the end of days will be shrouded in many many bad things happening. I feel that the end will come and Christ will return at a time when we are so content and prosperous that many forget who to give thanks to for their blessings.
In hard times many to to the Lord, in good times, not so many.
A decision like this could signal a time of peace (So to speak) for one segment of the population.
"It Just makes One More Sin Legal". Interesting.

While it may have not changed very much I must say I believe the ruling just energizes the libs. It will be only a matter of time before the court makes a ruling that nationalizes the gay marriage thing. I heard a guy on Rush Limbaugh predict that some radical state will pass a bill that says they will not recognize the marriage certificate of any state that will not allow gay marriage. I believe that this will happen and more. The radical state may even say they will not recognize the said states drivers license or license plates. We may have another "civil" war between states.

But I do agree with Treo that this ruling makes another sin legal!
