Life on this planet as we have always known it will soon change... overnight. The 70 th Week of Daniel is clearly visible on the horizon, each day that goes by the hoof beat gets loader. I'm looking up, how about you?

So are we thinking it doesn't matter if we get involved?

NO thinking about it. Damascus will cease to exist, it will disappear overnight exactly as Isaiah 17 (An Oracle Against Damascus) has prophesied, period. Israel is God's Prophetic Timepiece and the Middle East is ready to explode big time. The End of The Book has been written, the stage is being set, nothing will change it. Be still and let God be God; sit back, watch, learn, and believe.

Actually, the only thing that doesn't matter is what I think about whether or not the US gets involved. What does matter is what God thinks about whether or not the US gets involved. Considering our long history in the Middle East, and its truly deplorable failure rate at accomplishing anything for the people there, I'm not optimistic about supporting more of the same. Add to our failures in Middle Eastern countries that we have nearly completely abandoned Israel, and I think supporting more involvement in Syria may well be inviting God's wrath on one's soul. Not something I'm likely to volunteer for, but in the smaller scheme of things, none of our so-called "leaders" care a wit what you or I think about it. What I think about it will only matter to God in the end.

My best friend is a "casual" Believer. I don't mean that as a knock on him, it's just that he believes what his parents and grandparents instilled in him. Doesn't question a single aspect of it. One day he expressed something very similar to what you say above, saying that man can have no idea whatsoever when Jesus will return, or when the Rapture will happen etc. I was at his house when he said it and had my laptop with me, so I asked if he would be willing to read something about that issue. I was going to open one of Ringo's posts from several months ago that I bookmarked because it helps me know where to look for answers, and I knew it would come in handy if I ever wanted to show a path to better understanding for my wife or other friends at some point. Didn't matter though, because my friend just said, "The Bible is as clear as it can be on that question. No man knows when it's coming. You don't need to show me nothin'."

The important thing is that you Believe and are faithful. But you can know a reliable approximation of timing. The post I was going to open for my friend is here. Being as Ringo is very prolific and consistent, there are many others from which to choose that may be more specific than that one is, but the time approximation aspect of prophecy is there if you're interested.

A question and observation on this before I answer the question...Am I the only one who noticed Biden smiling just a little when Obuttcrack said the words "small children being gassed?" If shotgun joe wore a striped shirt to the press conference, it would have confirmed that he is in fact Popeye.

My answer? No go. I'm a bit tired ten minutes from now, two hours from now, tomorrow and next month.

  7. Go? Nogo? Nogo. They seem to be doing a fine job of annihilating each other on their own, without our help. Our involvement will only escalate the atrocities already occuring.

I'm no fan of seeing escalation of nuclear engagement on any side. Let the bastards kill each other, and we'll deal with whoever is left, good or bad, in our own way. This rush to military strikes (akin to lighting matches, and throwing them at Syria) is a pathetic excuse for our CIC to appear "the man", after his disastrous apology tour and telling the countries through our tolerance and understanding, peace and goodwill will reign, and all things good will appear. We arm terrorists, we kill innocents, we've made the U.S. Presidency and its criminal administration the laughing stock of the entire world.

All because of an arrogant, Marxist socialist who has dreams of being the leader of a New World Order, while we mere peasants are only money for the bricks in the wall of his delusions.
I'm a firm believer in two term limits for all politicians; one in office, the other in prison.

It seems that our "man-child" president let his BIG mouth overload his pansy a$$! Now he is trying to weasel out of either doing anything. Then IF he does do a strike it will be only on some abandoned vehicle out in the middle of the desert with a tomahawk missile at a cost of over $1 million. He will then apologize to Syria for having to take such action and blame it on the GOP for forcing him to do this.

On Drudge Report there is a picture of obummer standing in the Oval office on the phone with his foot on the Oval office desk. This guy has NO respect for the Oval office or the historic desk. If Bush had done done this the MSM would have been screaming about his lack of respect. They would have also would have had a cow over his lack of action and how inept Bush was if Bush had acted like obummer has acted about Syria.
I absolutely dispise the leftist MSM and their double standard!!!

I wish the nation could drop the thought of this and get back to the scandalous presidency. The cost of this operation in dollars and human lives are worth the investment to Obama if he can redirect the dialog. Imagine being willing to commit your nation to a war to cover the despicable acts that have been committed during your term in office.

Also, Let it be known that I appreciate all that have gone before me to make it possible for me to be free to utter such a statement.

Is there any chance that the poison gas used in Syria was part of the stock that Saddam "never had" ?
