Pastor arrested & charged with felony for having gasoline soaked qurans?!

What does it say about America when we consider burning an American flag or the bible as an expression of freedom of speech but, burning a Quran is condemned? It says America has become a cesspool of liberal filth, political correctness, and double standards. -MD

PASTOR ARRESTED & CHARGED WITH FELONY FOR HAVING GASOLINE SOAKED QURANS?!

Terry Jones, the controversial Gainesville pastor who garnered national attention for his 2010 plan to burn Qurans was arrested today, according to a Polk County Sheriff's Office release.

Jones, 61, and Marvin Wayne Sapp Jr., 44, were taken into custody about 5 p.m. at the Mulberry Pharmacy, located at 1009 Church Ave.

Jones' congregation claimed they were traveling and he allegedly had several Qurans soaked in gasoline in the back of a vehicle.

The qurans were inside a BBQ style roaster.

It appeared the group was to headed to a quran burning, where he planned to burn 2.998 Qurans on Sept. 11.
He has previously attributed the quran and the Islam faith for the 9/11 attacks.

Jones is the minister at the Dove World Outreach Center who attempted to burn qurans on the 9th anniversary of 9/11, titled "Burn a Quran Day" in 2010. Several politicians and groups reached out to him asking him to reconsider and he canceled.

Both Jones and Sapp received felony charges. Details about the charges are expected to be released later tonight.

Christianity is the ONLY religion that it is legal to besmirch, ridicule, persecute and any other thing to belittle. But one day there will a price to be paid for this!!

Just what felony were they charged with? While it may not be in his best interest health-wise to burn them, is there actually a law against it?

  5. He wasn't charged with trying to burn the Quran but arrested on a gun charge and the way he was transporting fuel.

Oh, I see. I still wouldn't think either of those would have been felonies. Unless maybe he was already a felon.
