You funny guy, you! No, I would rather worship with the Christians who are under the same government imposed regulations that I am who are equally as disappointed with their lack of ability to carry firearms where they worship as I am. It's called worshipping with people of like minds.

Wow. Now you're cross-threading your dishonesty! In the other thread where you were completely dishonest, the OP's rationale for banning OC was the distraction meme, but yours was that your church has the right to implement whatever security measures it deems appropriate, which is certainly true, but which the policy as you described it welcoming CC'ers with no scrutiny whatsoever, represents a total lack of "security."

You also said that the reason you and the regular congregation doesn't OC in your church is because you landed there with the policy already in place, and you don't OC anyway, and don't want to, so it was no big thing to you. If you argued the distraction meme at all in a nearly 300-post thread, you presented it as a side-issue, or a parenthetical kind of thought. You repeatedly said it was a security measure.

Why was a new thread necessary if all you're going to do is change your story (again)?

He made it quite clear this is on a military installation where our personnel are denied their rights since it is Federal property.

You do know how to hate don't you?

I have been very careful not to set myself up as speaking for my church. I stated my church by policy bans open carry on our premises and that our protocol is to shadow the person during the service and explain the policy to them after but I never stated “The rationale behind the policy is….” Because I never asked, I don’t care. Their house, their rules.

I believe I have been very careful to state that I feel that OC is a distraction and I wouldn’t OC in church if they changed the policy tomorrow.

And with that I am done.

I know how to hate? It takes a lot more gall than sense for you to say that to me, Treo. I don't recall ever applauding a wish for your death. I don't recall ever making rude remarks about your wife. And if you don't like being referred to as dishonest, there's a real simple fix for that - quit being dishonest.

Otherwise, I'll answer that question as honestly as I know how: Yes, I do know how to hate, and if there were one thing I wish I knew how to change on my own about myself, it is that knowledge that I would delete. It's one of the main reasons I sought understanding of who Jesus Christ is. I ask for forgiveness both from Jesus and from the person whom I have allowed to trigger that sinful trait in me every time it surfaces. I say that only as a way to say that I don't hate you. I don't trust you, I don't particularly enjoy your posts, I don't think you're a very nice person, I think you have the capacity to be one of the most petty people on the board, but I have not allowed any of that to trigger hate for you in my heart.

Oh, but if only you could be as honest about yourself in front of God and everybody.

So, in the context of worship, where it’s entirely your option where to worship it’s acceptable for the government to disarm you completely but hypocritical for my church to ask you to conceal your weapon.

And this is apparently so acceptable to you that even when you have the option of finding like minded armed people to worship with you choose to worship with like minded disarmed people?

I’m sorry but not even Sheldon Cooper could follow that train of logic

And with you also I am done

mox nix..originated with American soldiers stationed in Germany after World War II. An American spelling of the German expression "macht nichts" which means roughly, "it makes no difference."

Last I heard, NavyLCDR was deployed on a ship, aircraft carrier if I recall correctly. Not sure if he's back on land now, but if he isn't, it would umm....mox a diff.
