What state might we move to collectively to move this forward, if necessary? IMHO, this is what we all should start thinking about.

Texas!!! Our oldest son lives there and DH and I would move there in a heartbeat. I believe that the Lone Star State would welcome ALL of us with open arms. Texans have been talking about secession for years now. I get this mental picture of a "wagon train" of Americans heading west...except this time instead of wagons pulled by horses, it will be cars with the horsepower.

AMEN...AMEN...AMEN. Is there truly any doubt, in any patriot's mind, that this country was founded with Divine inspiration and with the blessings of the Creator of the Universe. His handiwork is very evident in the founding documents and in the amazing wisdom of our Founding Fathers.

There are so many examples, in the Old Testament, of the Jews turning their backs on God and the resulting consequences. However, God ALWAYS offers a way back to a right relationship with Him. 2 Chronicles 7:14 says, "If my people, which are called by my name (that refers to CHRISTians, as well as Jews), shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land". That's His promise and, since God is incapable of lying, He HAS to keep His promises.

Americans should be arming themselves with guns AND putting on the "armor of God"...the sword of Godly truths, the helmet of Godly wisdom and the shield of Godly righteousness. Ephesians 6:13 -- "Take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day". I personally believe that the "evil day" is upon us.

God bless America, as we strive to always put our trust in Him.

Come on down. We would welcome all God fearing patriots. Texas would make a good country. We have a great area for growing food in the valley, warm water ports, plenty of oil and plenty of military bases. The only problem is a large unsecured border but we could take care of that. It does get mighty hot in the summer time though.

It just doesn't get any better than a personal invitation from a Texan. Thanks, HK4U. Yep, no doubt about it, we COULD take care of that border issue in no time. Now for a name for the new country...The American Republic of Texas? In this "Republic" life & liberty would flourish, not socialism/communism.

Works for me. Sounds like what America once was.

Texas is first on my list. I have talked to quite a few Texans, in addition to those who post here, who have said: "They'll never take our guns in Texas!" and "come on down". The hospitality displayed by all was great! Seriously, I think if the SHTF, Texas had better be prepared for a major influx of patriots.

Ektarr, I am familiar with the "free state project". Didn't they settle in Vermont?

They picked New Hampshire, JJFlash. Too cold for my aching joints. I'll take that Texas heat anyday.

Yeah, I vaguely remembered they picked some New England state. ND was on their shortlist, as I recall, but I guess they settled in New Hampshire because they, too, couldn't take the cold!!

It is funny because I have lived in Texas all my life and yet I hate hot weather. Don't know how well I would like extreme cold weather either though if I had to be out in it much.
