On Tuesday, January 19th, 2010 you will have the chance to change history in Massachusetts by sending the first Republican to the U.S. Senate since what appears to be 1979. Given what’s been going on in Washington D.C. lately with so-called “Healthcare Reform”, “Global Warming”, “Cap & Trade”, along with huge increases in deficit spending we need to send a clear message to the current administration, the House and especially the Senate – yet another “shot heard round the world”.

That “shot” will be propelling Scott Brown into the U.S. Senate where he will begin to send the strong clear message that we will not tolerate any further infringements upon our civil rights or our wallets.

Scott Brown and I began working together in early 2007 on Sportsman’s issues here in Massachusetts. He was always responsive, cordial, and genuinely interested in hearing what his constituents had to say.

When I was first the Secretary and later the President of the Norfolk County League of Sportsmen we invited Scott Brown to dinner at the Norwood Sportsmen’s Club in Norwood; an invitation that took a bit of scheduling to accomplish due to his military service and Senate duties at the time, but he graciously accepted. During that conversation he agreed to do all he could in support of our Second Amendment Rights, but gently reminded us that we too had a lot of work ahead of us to gather the strength in numbers required and act as one voice on Beacon Hill.

In a recent letter to the Gun Owners Action League and all Massachusetts Sportsmen and Women in Massachusetts Scott Brown tells us in his own words of his support of the Second Amendment and his views on Government and I reprint that now for those of you who are not currently GOAL members receiving the Outdoor Message:
I support the Second Amendment and believe that citizens have the right to legally keep and bear arms as a basic constitutional liberty and have been an advocate for safe and responsible gun ownership. Massachusetts already has the toughest gun regulations in the country and I have consistently worked with Gun Owners' Action League (GOAL) and other groups to oppose further unnecessary, redundant and possibly unconstitutional laws on sportsmen of the Commonwealth.

Sportsmen are great stewards of our land and I strongly support this culture of responsibility. As a State Senator, I have supported common-sense environment policy to reduce pollution and preserve our precious open spaces. I realize that every step we take today to safeguard the land, the air and the water preserves and enhances our Nation's resources for those who follow.

America is a great country but we also have some challenges that we need to solve if we're going to remain the world's superpower. The most important of our challenges is getting the U.S. economy moving again. People are hurting as they struggle to make ends meet. They're worried about their future, and that of their children and grandchildren. I want to ensure that we leave them an America that is financially stronger and independent: minus a national debt that we can never repay.

I am a free enterprise advocate who believes that lower taxes can encourage economic growth. Raising taxes and bigger government stifles growth, weakens the economy and puts more people out of work. Our economy works best when individuals have more of their income to spend, and businesses have money to invest and add jobs. I have been a fiscal watchdog in the state legislature fighting bigger government, higher taxes and wasteful spending.

This Senate seat doesn't belong to any one person, or political party. It belongs to you, the people, and the people deserve a U.S. senator who will always put your interests first. We have 11 other elected officials who vote the same way and take their orders from the same special interests. As a State Senator I worked across party lines and as your U.S. Senator I will never take my orders from the special interests or from the Washington insiders who think they know what's good for Massachusetts.

With your support and your vote, I'm confident we will prevail.
Despite it's recent 'Blue' heritage, don't let anyone tell you your vote doesn't count in Massachusetts. Get out and vote for Scott Brown on Tuesday, January 19th or better yet volunteer to help.

The best opportunity to defeat ObamaCare may come from, ironically, Massachusetts.

In the race to succeed the late Sen. Ted Kennedy, Republican State Senator Scott Brown could become the key vote to stop nationalized health care.

With Senate Democrats controlling 60 votes, Republicans were unable to muster the 41 votes needed to block the anti-gun health care bill when it passed the Senate on Christmas Eve. But the bill must still be voted on by both the House and Senate, and the Senate is scheduled to reconvene on January 19 -- the same day as the special election in Massachusetts.

How big of an issue is health care in this election?

Scott Brown told Politico: "If you feel that Washington and the health care bill that they're proposing is systemic of the problems in Washington and the failure to understand average people anymore, then you vote for me because as the 41st senator. I can stop a lot of this stuff in its tracks. I can actually force them to go back to the drawing board."

Ordinarily, a Massachusetts Senate race is a cinch for Democrats, who dominate state politics. But a recent Public Policy Polling poll shows Brown up one point against his opponent, anti-gun State Attorney General Martha Coakley!

Should Scott Brown pull off a win, the ObamaCare legislation would die instantly as Democrats will have lost their 60th vote.

As state Senator, Brown is considered one of the most conservative Republicans in the Bay State -- supporting issues like concealed carry of firearms and earning an "A+" rating from the state pro-gun group, Gun Owners Action League.

His opponent is the type of radical anti-gunner people have come to expect from Massachusetts. Late last year, Attorney General Coakley filed a brief urging the state Supreme Court to uphold a law requiring firearms to be kept under lock and key when not in use.

The choice for gun owners in this race could not be more clear -- and the stakes could not be higher.

After telling gun owners for a year that they had nothing to fear from the national health care bill, Democrats in Washington finally admitted that that was a bald-faced lie. So they stuck a bunch of language in the most recent version of the bill supposedly addressing the gun problems (which they claimed for so long did not exist!)

But the new language does not prohibit the FBI or the BATFE from trolling the ObamaCare medical database in search of medical reasons to disqualify citizens from owning firearms.

Already, the Department of Veterans Affairs -- which operates its own nationalized health care system -- has denied around 150,000 veterans their Second Amendment rights based on the opinions of doctors, and not on the basis of any criminal conviction. And that is just the tip of the iceberg should the health care bill pass for the rest of the population.

So you can see how important this Massachusetts special election on January 19 is for the nation.

It is also clear that concerned citizens from all over the country should do all they can to get Scott Brown over the finish line.

This is a very expensive race, and Scott's opponent has so far out-raised him significantly, as she's raked in millions of dollars from ObamaCare supporters.

And, even though Scott is carrying the Republican message that will likely dominate the 2010 Congressional elections, news reports indicate that the Republican national committees have shown only token support. That must change, and change quickly.

Sure, Massachusetts is normally a safe Democrat state -- but these are not normal times. This race is winnable. Scott Brown was down by 31 percentage points in November, but he is now effectively tied in the latest poll.

There are several action items that can be taken by people from every state:

    1. Visit Scott Brown on the web at http://www.brownforussenate.com and make a generous contribution. And, please make sure all your contacts know about the importance of this race.

    2. Contact National Republican Senatorial Committee Chairman John Cornyn at [email protected] and urge him to pull out all the stops to elect Scott Brown.

    3. Email Republican National Committee Chairman Michael Steele at [email protected] and deliver the same message.

    4. Of course, if you live in Massachusetts, vote for Scott Brown on Tuesday, January 19.

Together, we can strike a blow to anti-gun national health care -- and send a powerful message to Washington -- by scoring a win in liberal Massachusetts.

    Sincerely,

    Tim Macy

This really is huge! Massachusetts has all the pressure right now to stop NOBAMACARE. You know its funny, I listen to all the people who "support" healthcare reform. They all say the same thing when I ask "who is going to pay for it", they always say "the gov.". My response is always, "our taxes will raise to pay for it because the govt is pretty much BROKE". They always are speachless. People who support this, are people who have been brainwashed and have had the wool pulled over their eyes. WAKE UP!

We have learned from Congressional Quarterly that the Democrats have just dumped $567,000 in support of the Democrat's far-left candidate in the Special Election for U.S. Senate in Massachusetts.
At the same time, we here at the Tea Party Express have now spent well over $100,000 in Independent Expenditure ad buys for the conservative candidate in that race - Republican Scott Brown.
So now the question is - do you our supporters want us to try to match the Democrat's $567,000 ad buy, or at least up our buy to be more competitive with theirs?

If so, then please make a contribution to our campaign for Scott Brown in this Special Election. The deadline for us to place ads for this weekend is the end of the business day today (Thursday, January 14th).
You can make a contribution to our campaign effort for Scott Brown - HERE.
We must take action, for if we can pull out a victory, we stop the Democrats dead in their tracks in their effort to secretly ram through their socialistic healthcare plan.
That's because Scott Brown wholeheartedly opposes the Democrat's government-run healthcare plan and has made his opposition to it a central part of his campaign.
If Brown wins then he will be the deciding vote to kill the socialistic healthcare monstrosity in the Senate!
You can contribute any amount you can afford, from as little as $5 to the maximum allowed $5,000 -- CLICK HERE to CONTRIBUTE --

YouTube- Greta VanSusteren Interviews MA senator hopeful Scott Brown - January 11th 2010

    Dear Reader:
Time is critical. Americans all over the country are fed up with the Obama administration. They don't want his radical healthcare program.
Citizens from states like Massachusetts, Nebraska, Florida and others are rising up as never before.
Even in liberal states such as Massachusetts citizens are showing their outrage over the Obama-Pelosi-Reid alliance and it's dismal record at creating jobs and inability to protect us against terrorism.
The Democrats know that the final vote has not taken place on the healthcare bill and that key senators and congressmen are starting to waver.
The politicians in Washington have seen the latest Rasmussen poll with Obama's job approval down to 46 percent.
It is vital that we strike right now with a TV ad campaign in key states across the nation. States such as Massachusetts, Nebraska, Colorado, Florida and others must be targeted to expose the dangerous Obama-Pelosi-Reid healthcare plan and the trios out-of-control spending plans.
If polling data and other indices of public opinion reflect the growing outrage at Obama, the liberals in Washington will think twice before they vote for more taxes, spending, and regulation.
The League of American Voters will have a new ad this weekend exposing Obama-Pelosi-Reid and their allies.
The League, where I serve as chief strategist, urgently needs to spend $500,000 this weekend and beyond in states like Massachusetts.
You can help this effort by Going Here Now
I believe this ad will galvanize public opinion against Reid and Pelosi and Obama and offer real checks and balances in Washington.
Please donate in the next 24 hours so the ads can have an immediate effect on the national debate — Go Here Now.
