Thread: How would you classify our situation in the Senate?

Seriously uphill. With one of the notsodynamic duo just being coat-tailed into office, and the other a Class I 2012 Senator, There is a ground swell of support to, at least, to check for a recall campaign. To recall Ms Stabenow, I'd work for that.

an uphill battle with room for improvement.

    It's GAME ON Time...

MA showed it can be done... Balance the house and remind the elected officials that they are accountable to us and can be replaced if that simple fact can't be retained in their memory...

We've already seen what happens when there's a switch in control. When the Republicans took control of the House and Senate during Clinton I was very optimistic. Finally we could get something done but it never happened. Hopefully a lesson was learned and they work to make sure it's not repeated when they gain control again. Remember, with absolute power it corrupts absolutely!

"Other" Here in PRHI. We have two senators who are strongly anti-gun, of which one of them is senile. I've actually had a private one on one conversation with one of them, and he couldn't remember major points of our conversation 5 minutes later. I've seen him preparing for a couple of speeches and he needed to have HUGE letters on the tele-prompter that would scroll v e r y s l o o o o o o o w l y. Makes me wonder if he's up to speed on the issues he's voting on, or simply following the advice of other (D) type senators when he votes. So much for representing his constituents.

I'd say the situation is "critically hopeless, with very little hope of improving in the near future".

If My people who are called by My name will get on their knees and pray to Me...I will heal their land
A lot of us are and it appears to be working.

I, for one, have no problem with a Democrat President and a Republican Congress or vice versa. We seem to do fairly well when they can't agree to screw anything up. My ultimate hope would be for a real American like Ron Paul to get in there with the support of the people to clean house.

The Republicans failed because they felt the need to get along with the Liberals and did not stick to their convictions. If you are going to take advise from the enemy you have already lost. Brown won because he stuck to his convictions. If he turns into a RINO he should be the first to go.

Here's something that did not happen during the last time Republicans had the majority in the House & Senate...

The Clinton AWB Ban did not make it to the floor of the House or Senate for a renewal vote in 2004...

IT took 10 years for that abomination to go away...

I'd like to think the Republicans still left in Congress, with the exception of the 8-10 RINO's in the Senate; got the message over the last year...

Obviously, the Democrats & the liberal & socialist independents, did not get the message last Tuesday, WE THE PEOPLE are PISSED...

Pissed is a good way to describe the state of the voters here in MA as well as the rest of the nation. The rest of the left wing liberal democrats here look like they have been given a good kick in the nuts... The look on Deval Patrick's face standing behind Mahtha Croakley when she gave her concession speech... Ah the look of someone who has seen the future and it's not the one they were planning for...

I say it's just the start of something bigger than all of us, because there is no more Republican Party. I say it again...The Democrats have become Socialists, and the Republicans have become Democrats. What was, will never be the same again. IMO
