Exclamation 52% Think Obama does not deserve second term

CNN poll: 52% say Obama doesn't deserve reelection in 2012

CNN poll: 52% say Obama doesn't deserve reelection in 2012 - The Hill's Blog Briefing Room
52 percent of Americans said President Barack Obama doesn't deserve reelection in 2012, according to a new poll.

44 percent of all Americans said they would vote to reelect the president in two and a half years, less than the slight majority who said they would prefer to elect someone else.

Obama faces a 44-52 deficit among both all Americans and registered voters, according to a CNN/Opinion Research poll released Tuesday. Four percent had no opinion.

The reelection numbers are slightly more sour than Obama's approval ratings, which are basically tied. 49 percent of people told CNN that they approve of the way Obama is handling his job, while 50 percent disapprove.

Still, the 2012 election is still a long way's away, with this fall's midterm elections looming large. Republicans are hoping to make inroads into Congress, while Democrats are hoping to hold onto gains won in the 2006 and 2008 cycles.

Respondents to CNN were split at 46 percent as to whether they preferred a generic Republican or Democratic candidate in this fall's elections.

At least one retiring lawmaker is confident Obama will sail to reelection, with Sen. Chris Dodd (D-Conn.) predicting Monday the president would win "overwhelmingly" in 2012.

The CNN poll, conducted Feb. 12-15, has a three percent margin of error.

I heard on the radio today that Sean Hannity wrote a book called "Conservative Victory," that focuses on the socialist....I like to use marxist...direction that Obama and the Dems want to move the country and that the upcoming mid-term elections may be the most important ones in our adult lifetime.
I was annoyed at the retiring Indiana Senator claiming that "partisan politics" is keeping our country from moving forward. What he didn't say was that the congress, specifically, the Senate, with it's "Super-majority" for the past year, could have done whetever they wanted, but maybe realized that they were no longer representing the interests of the people and possible reprocussions that may result.
If partisan politics is what is preventing abominations like nationalized healthcare and cap and trade, I say keep the partisan politics coming!
Hopefully the Republican party will return to conservative ideals, stand behind them, and make then effective tools.

That 52% is correct, but it leaves one wondering how a nation can survive when 48% can't seem to understand the reality of the situation.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.--River Tam

LOL! Again, it's not really a problem. Apology more than accepted.

BTW -- you've been posting a lot of good links lately, please keep it up.

The problem in this country is we are WAYYY to concerned about who we want to get OUT and not concerned enough about WHO WE WANT IN!

Lets see the ultimate President emerge and be recognized, then getting them elected won't be a problem. As long as we are willing to be conservative sheeple and take whomever the dredges of so called Republicans make a deal with in the senate or a governors seat I'm not sure how much better it makes things.

I am ready for a REALLY GOOD conservative President ... and sorry, Sarah ain't it!

You could be onto something. The MSM could rephrase their questions a bit and then accuse a substantial portion of Americans as being 'insane supporters' of non-pc movements. Imagine the headlines: "Of the 52% of American voters who don't feel Obama deserves a second term, XX% are ___________"

I'm sure if they word their questions correctly they can make many concerned Americans appear insane.
