Senate passes reconciliation 'fixes' to health bill

    Good job senate democrats.

"Democrats muscled legislation through the Senate on Thursday reshaping parts of the new health care overhaul law, sending it back to the House for what is expected to be final congressional approval". msnbc

"The Senate vote occurred as Obama used a campaign-style speech in Iowa City, Iowa, to tout the landmark health legislation and dare Republicans to follow through on repeated threats to try repealing the law.

"My attitude is, go for it" and see how voters like that, he taunted.

"If they want to have that fight, we can have it. Because I don't believe the American people are going to put the insurance industry back in the driver's seat," he said."MSNBC

Outnumbered and all but assured of defeat, Republicans forced votes on amendments aimed at reshaping the measure or at least forcing Democrats to take votes that could be used against them in TV ads in the fall campaigns.

By 57-42, Democrats rejected an amendment by Sen. Tom Coburn, R-Okla., barring federal purchases of Viagra and other erectile dysfunction drugs for sex offenders. Coburn said it would save millions of dollars, while Sen. Max Baucus, D-Mont., called it "a crass political stunt." MSNBC

Earlier this week Mccain said the republicans would not vote with or support anything the democrats propose for the rest of the year as a result of the healthcare legislation. Ha ha. I think its so funny how they have talked this whole year about the bill being bad for the american people. (like they care). USA Carry they are all in it for their own political advancments. How can you throw out such ultimatums. They are saying they will not support anything good or bad essentially whether it helps or hurts. They just want to stay opposite. Thats what we elected them for correct. NOT. I wish the republicans cared for the poor and middle class like they do the CEO's then this country would be alot better off. This November i think democrats will strengthen their hold on the house floor and senate majorities.

I can't wait. The Dem's are the majority so they cannot be stopped by the other party no mater what, they can only be stopped from with in. They can get rid of as many tax payers as possible. What do we need jobs for in the future. All services will be free. Hurray for the third would. Isn't life great.

The problem with the Democrats is they think money grows on trees, and they get the votes from the people who actually WORK for a living instead of living off welfare. OF COURSE the poor want free health care! That's SO much easier than getting a job!

A very ungodly group we have destroying our country, but as the famous sermon "Pay day some day" said, they will one day have theirs.
