Show us the law that says a Socialist gets a tax credit for the portion of his tax liability that would be spent by the government on a program that redistributes wealth. I would like to take advantage of it.

HK, would you slap Chuckie for me and send him to his room? I told him before the adults were trying to have a conversation, but he just won't listen.

If you were like the boy actor Billy Mummy on the old Twilight Zone Show you could wish him away to the corn field.

My point exactly. However, his words leave me with some doubt that he tells the truth in many areas. One being his Great Grandfather helping to write the Texas Declaration Of Independence. Seeing that it was signed on March 2, 1836 makes it doubtful that a "Great" Grandfather was involved. A Great Great Grandfather may have been born around that time. Add to that that he just throws statements out with no back up and all you get is a rumor monger. He has no credibility with me.

I am wondering which one of his ancestors was on the Mayflower.

Ya know, I'm changing my mind about having trolls around. They're actually kinda fun; the stories that they tell and all.

Like misquitoes, they're irritating and can bite, but they're really inconsequential and they're easily squashed with a satisfying whack of the hand...

And it doesnt stop with this, a perfect example is the wind turbines slated for the east coast......OH NO not off our coast say the Kennedy's, were all for stopping the drilling and switching to wind but put them in someone elses backyard, we like our ocean view. Hypocrites in all ways.

Give me that old time religion

Could the bible have been rewritten to suit someones agenda? Of course. But was it? I and millions of others are convinced that it is truth. Not just truth, but true truth. Truth, but not exhaustive truth. Scripture is the most thoroughly vetted book in existence. Do I take everything in scripture literally? No. For example, In six days God created the universe. Yes, six of his days. Not days as we measure them today. Scripture is God's letter to us to tell us enough about himself to decide on whether or not to follow him. The biblical cannon is a study in itself.

The mainstream churches today have drifted from what they were two hundred years ago. That's why they are losing membership. They support liberal agendas that are not based on scripture. Frankly, I think separation of church and state works both ways. The state should stay out of the church agenda and the church should stay out of politics. The rules that govern the two spheres are exclusive and do not apply to one another. For example, the Methodist church should not have come out in favor of Obama's health care bill. Compassion after all, is voluntary, not mandatory. Compassion is personal. One on one. A personal decision. Most certainly not one that can be forced on people without dire consequences and resentment. For exapmple, if my children or grand children need health care, I should help pay for it if needed. I certainly do not expect you to pay for it.

Lastly, do people use scripture to support agendas that suits them? Sadly, all the time. Even ministers and pastors from the pulpit. That's why I have spent years studying scripture to find out for myself what God wants from me. Do not totally rely on an intrepreter. Buy a good bible. I suggest the NIV version with commentary. Read the book of John first to find out what Christ meant. Then read the book of Romans to find out what the church should be like. It should be the basis for theology in the world today.

Small non affiliated churches are the most likely to preach and follow scripture in the way that Christ meant. That's why they are growing.

I am getting too verbose and will close for now.

    Does this look familiar:

    Biography
My great grand father was one of the men who wrote the Texas Declaration of Independnce.

As I stated, even a great great grandfather may have been born around that time but very unlikely to be old enough to have anything to do with the signing. Maybe you wish to rephrase again.
