As I stated, even a great great grandfather may have been born around that time but very unlikely to be old enough to have anything to do with the signing. Maybe you wish to rephrase again.
My bad. Mathew Caldwell is my great great grand father. His was one of the first six men appointed as Captains in the Texas Rangers.

EVENING & MORNING (24 hr. cycle), clearly describing the days as WE measure them today. The vast majority of the people in the world today have never heard about the Plan Of God. God has put into place a 7,000- year Master Plan, which began at the creation, almost 6,000 years ago. This plan is pictured in type by the seven-day week. Genesis 1:3-31 shows us that God created the earth in six days and then created the seventh-day Sabbath by resting on it Gen 2:2-3. God is allowing man to work six days (six thousand years), followed with the seventh-day rest (a 1,000-year Sabbath rest). The apostle Peter wrote, "with the Lord one day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day", 11 Pet. 3:8. No doubt, he understood that the seven-day week pictured the 7,000 year plan of God. Paul also had this in mind when he instructed that the seventh day of the week pictures the millennial rule of Christ that will follow this present evil age of human misrule Heb 4: 3-11. This "day"will occur after Christ's intervention and it will last a thousand years, Rev. 20: 1-4. (references to this principal are also found in Psalms 90:4 and Hosea 6:2)

The seventh day of the week symbolizes the 1,000-year rulership of Jesus Christ; thus, the first six days of the week picture 6,000 years of man governing himself to work out his own ideas and plans. Here, each day of the week represents a 1,000- year period. Historical records indicate that almost 6,000 years have elapsed since God created man, and almost 2,000 years since the death of Jesus Christ. Man's "WEEK" (6,000 years) is nearly over, and God's great "SABBATH" rest (1,000 year millennium reign of Christ) will soon be here.

    ummm really?

    then explain this:

Scientists today announced the discovery of the oldest fossil skeleton of a human ancestor. The find reveals that our forebears underwent a previously unknown stage of evolution more than a million years before Lucy, the iconic early human ancestor specimen that walked the Earth 3.2 million years ago.

_+1 Ringo, the "septimillenial" theory is the only one supported by close reading of the Scriptures. My study of the rapture starts with the seven feast days, four were fulfilled after 4000 years (Passover, Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of First Fruits and Feast of Weeks also known as Pentecost). After 2000 thousand years, He WILL fulfil the Day of Trumpets (the Rapture) and then at the end of the Tribulation, the Day of Atonement for Israel. (See Zechariah chapters 12, 13 and 14, especially looking at 12:10,13:1 & 13:6) Then after 1000 thousand year millenial reign, He will fulfil the last Feast of Tabernacles. Thus, the seven major feast days are actually a count down to eternity. People need to put away their childish rebellion and get on board with Christ while they can.

No thanks..Proverbs 26:4.."Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like onto him".

The truth stands alone regardless of whether a heretic, atheist, or evolutionist thinks they get the last word or not. The truth STILL stands! If I spent all of my time defending what I believe, I wouldn't have time for anything else. We as Christians are commanded not to argue with fools, for striving with them will certainly eat us as does a canker as the scripture says..2 Timothy 2:16-17 "But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase onto more ungodliness. And their word will eat as doth a canker". I believe the Word of God, you believe anything else you want.

you can also believe what you want, however, I was just asking a simple question. If as you stated creation took place 6000 years ago, then why are there so many other things that are older than that? Such as the new finding of that 3.2 million year old human? And the general age of the earth and solar system is approx 4.5 Billion years old.

Like I said you can believe what you want, but I'm pretty sure your math is wrong.

Dear Onlinedad, please explain the ASSUMPTIONS used for radiometric dating? I suspect that you are as ignorant of the ASSUMPTIONS of radiometric dating as you are of the Bible. Just remember, you can't find an unknown by using an unknown. Yet, radiomtric dating is based on assumed initial values as well as other unknowns based on your religion of evolution which is also never observed, only imagined. If you are so well versed in all of these things, please do educate us my friend.

Radiometrics assume that everything is exposed to a constant, unchanging level of radiation, everything retains and releases that radiation at the same rate, and nothing can cause this decay rate to change.

A LIVING oyster from San Francisco Bay was once found to be 42000 years old, using radiometric analysis.

On the other hand, geologists state that it takes hundreds of years for stalactites to grow inches, but six and seven inch stalactites were found in Ft. Pickens in Pensacola, FL.
