    I'd rather not have a Liberal in office at all! I've always said that the worst Republican is hands down better than the best Democrat and I've always stood by this. However, over the years our GOP has turned a blind eye at what the party stands for. Our platform has become dusty and mostly abandoned. Look at the first four years of GW's presidency. We had complete control of the House and Senate. We had our chance to make some meaningful changes but thanks to McCain, Graham and a few others they were able to derail Republican control all in the name of bipartisanship and the leadership did nothing. McCain's did this because of his jealousy and wanting pay back for losing the nomination to GW. We don't want or need a person like that as our President. Now we have almost come full circle with McCain having a good chance in getting the nomination. Like I said above.; I see absolutely no one I can vote for. This doesn't mean I won't vote! I always vote straight Republican.

    Of course, I also was speaking rhetorically. I think we’ve all been (I know I have) venting our spleen at the task of making the best of a bad situation. The good new is, on a cultural level, we’re making progress. The spread of concealed carry laws and that very good (and surprising to me) national poll I saw on this site re: gun ownership, shows that the same incrementalizim that the left has used for years can and is working for us.

    That is not true at all.
    According to GOA's site Ron Paul has a perfect record as well.

    Ron Paul has been a leader in the fight to defend and restore the Second Amendment. He has sponsored legislation to repeal the following:

    * the Brady law;
    * the requirement to lock up your safety (guns);
    * the law permitting the US to be part of the UN (which, among other attacks on American freedoms, seeks to ban privately transfered firearms);
    * participation in UNESCO -- which has been used to dumb down US education standards;
    * the federal prohibition on importation of guns on a sporting basis test;
    * federal prohibitions on any pilot wishing to carry a handgun to and in his cockpit; and,
    * the so-called "assault weapons" ban (prior to its sunsetting in 2004).

    Paul also has sponsored legislation requiring states to treat the concealed carry permit of one state the same as they do that state's driver's license.
    He has consistently voted against anti-gun bills and for pro-gun bills, even going so far as to vote against a recent NRA backed bill that would bar soldiers diagnosed with PTSD from ever owning guns in the future.

    Oh, and look carefully at the quote on GOA's main page. They don't quote Huckabee.

    Don't be surprised if this changes in the coming 4 years.

    Well with Romney out now I guess will have to chose between Huckabee or McCain.

    Besides the fact that Ron Paul has 14 of the 1,191 delegates he needs to get the nomination, and that he has a snow-balls chance in hell of winning that nomination; and that he has sold out his own presidential campaign supporters by announcing that he is already running for reelection in his own congressional district and will be using the money from his presidential campaign donors to do it...

    SORRY 1911Shooter - NO SALE...

    Mike Huckabee has been consistently rated higher then Ron Paul by both the NRA and the GOA!
    Of which I am a member of BOTH...

    Because the GOA failed to find Ron Paul's SECOND AMENDMENT SELL-OUT RECORD!

    Ron Paul believes and his record shows it; that Gun Manufacturers and Sellers should be liable for crimes committed with guns they manufactured and or sold! AND HE JOINED THE DEMOCRATS AND OPPOSED THE REPUBLICANS TO DO IT!

    Ron Paul Voted NO on prohibiting product misuse lawsuits on gun manufacturers. (Oct 2005)
    Ron Paul Voted NO on prohibiting suing gunmakers & sellers for gun misuse. (Apr 2003)
    Ron Paul Voted NO on decreasing gun waiting period from 3 days to 1. (Jun 1999)

    Ron Paul does not even own a gun...

    What part of SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAND?

    ONLY CCW Packing Successful Multi-Term Governor Mike Huckabee has a perfect record supporting the Second Amendment! FACT

    Thumbs up McCain or Huckabee?

    McCain or Huckabee?

    IF you value your second amendment rights HUCKABEE is the only choice!

    I PROMISE you that this U.S. born citizen, Marine Core Veteran, VFW, NRA, GOA member, gun owner, life-long republican will NOT vote for Second Amendment sell-out, Amnesty loving, Free Trade sell-out, Keating 5 Criminal... John McCain!

    Do not let the biased media convince you to cede your vote and support to McCain!

    There are more then enough delegates for Huckabee to win, not including the 100's of unbound delegates and super delegates up for grabs now that McCain and Huckabee remain as the only two viable choices for the republican party...

    CCW Packing, Mike Huckabee is the only canidate running from any party with a perfect second amendment support record and is rated higher then any other canidate by the NRA and the GOA the two biggest pro-gun lobbists in the country if not the world:
    http://gunowners.org/pres08/huckabee.htm

    While all the democrats have promised to raise taxes and entitlements for all and John McCain is NOW promising a tax cut or two ONLY successful multi-term Governor Mike Huckabee would ABOLISH THE IRS! utilizing the M.I.T., Harvard, Stanford and Yale engineered Fair Tax Initiative; educate yourself on the Fair Tax:

    Who is the ONLY canidate running from any party that has signed a "NO AMNESTY PLEDGE" on camera?

    HUCKABEE CAN WIN IT IF WE GET BEHIND HIM NOW!

    The alternative is gun-grabbing, amnesty loving McCain, Billary or Hussein...

    Without unequivocal support of the second amendment, no other issues have any value or merit...

    How much would you be willing to pay to have 100% confidence that in the next 4 to 8 years you would not have another federal second amendment infringement shoved down your throat?
    https://www.mikehuckabee.com/?FuseAc...ontribute.Home

    Keep in mind, we currently have a democrat led house and senate, only 3 conservative supreme court judges and a vote for McCain is no different then a vote for Billary or Barack, said vote is a vote for Amnesty and Gun Control pure and simple, to say the least...

    If there was ever a time for Americans and especially Gun Owners to UNITE and get behind a Presidential canidate NOW is the time! and CCW Packing successful Multi-Term Governor Mike Huckabee is that canidate!

    If we do nothing, we can only say we did nothing...

    How unfortunate this election campaign has been

    and it's not even up to full speed yet.

    Bth parties are ending up with a candidate representing division, disillusionment and bitterness in their respective parties. So the Republicans end up with a lukewarm candidate while the Democrats manage to divide and conquer themselves no matter what they do. We deserve what will happen next.
    Reality, DEAL with IT!
