The question everyone's whispering about Kagan

"Voices from both sides of cultural divide ask: 'Is she a lesbian?'

"Liberal cowardice" and "conservative discomfort" are burying the question many privately are posing about Supreme Court nominee Elena Kagan, asserts noted political commentator and blogger Andrew Sullivan, who identifies himself as a gay Catholic.

    'First openly gay justice'

The White House tried to quash the issue last month when it criticized CBS News for running on its website a piece by blogger Ben Domenech that said Kagan is an open lesbian.

Domenech wrote that Obama "would please much of his base" by nominating Kagan, because she would be the "first openly gay justice."

But an unnamed Obama administration official told the Washington Post the contention was "inaccurate," and former White House Communications Director Anita Dunn accused CBS News of "posting lies."

Domenech apologized, but he didn't retract his assertion. In an April 15 update, he wrote that while his statement that Supreme Court candidates Pamela Karlan and Kathleen Sullivan of Stanford Law School are open lesbians was accurate, "I have to correct my text here to say that Kagan is apparently still closeted – odd, because her female partner is rather well known in Harvard circles." ..."

She's a New York City radical, Marxist lawyer through and through." ..."

We, our nation is in deep and stinking "kimchee" if this carpet munching, Haaaavard ultra liberal theorist minded, left winger ascends to one of the most important offices in the land. From which she cannot be removed except by Congress--and that will not happen. She is a dangerous liberal who will interpret the constitution the way she wants to. Surely there are better somewhere--even the kenyan should be able to find one. The ignorant sheeple who put this POS into office knew justices would be moving off the bench but still they voted for him. Makes me ill at them for not caring about the direction our country is headed.

A screaming liberal who supports the concept of stare decisis; that alone makes her a much better choice than any I thought I'd see from the Obama administration. I don't care who she sleeps with as long as she recognizes the Constitution and my rights it protects.

No, she's not a good choice - she may, however be better than the man she's replacing; she's certainly not as bad as I'd feared. Unfortunately, nobody knows what a justice will do once seated on the bench -- Stevens is a good example...

Kagan is a strong believer in the role stare decisis plays in reproductive rights policy.
During her confirmation process, she stated, “[u]nder prevailing law, the Due Process Clause of
the Fourteenth Amendment protects a woman’s right to terminate a pregnancy, subject to various
permissible forms of state regulation. As Solicitor General, I would owe respect to this law, as I
would to general principles of stare decisis.”

People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.--River Tam

Who cares what her life style is? I am more concern with how she will be a judge if she is confrimed.

I agree how she will rule on the court is paramount however we may be able to get an insight on that from what her lifestyle is. One thing for sure you can bet the Ursurper did not pick her because he thought she would disagree with most of his policies. She may or may not be more liberal than Stevens but she is a lot younger and we will be stuck with her for a long time.

If this "Lady" was involved with the Clinton Ban, Then the Michigan Senators will be celebrating her nomination. That is a travesty of justice.

"Carpet munching" is just a slang term for lesbians.

06, Often children are reading this website. We have a few women in here. Some may be offended by your "slang". You may wish to review this websites rules, if you have any doubts.
