    The Progressive movement didn't fail, it was a great success. One of it's achievements was the Interstate Commerce Act (1887), which created the Interstate Commerce Commission, the first true federal regulatory agency. It was designed to address the issues of railroad abuse and discrimination and required the following:

    * Shipping rates had to be "reasonable and just"
    * Rates had to be published
    * Secret rebates were outlawed
    * Price discrimination against small markets was made illegal

    You are welcome mom. On a site this large I guess having to put 9 on the ignore list is not all that bad. Anytime you get a forum this size with this many posters you are bound to get a few bad eggs. Ektarr if you only have a couple on the list then I would say you have the patients of job. The plus is that there are many good posters on here.

    Wow, that was halarious! I am still laughing at some of the posts on this one! I was wandering, what the heck is a "troll"? I keep seeing that on these posts, but still can't figure that one out. Please set me straight.

    Actually I only have a couple on the list. For the most part most posters are good people here. I just put those on the list that have proven over and over again that most of what they contribute is nothing but strife and contention. As far as being afraid of them that would be a laugh.

    No one FORCES me to do anything, NDS. I make a choice as to whether or not I wish to subject myself to meaningless drivel and childish tirades. Just as I choose what books to read, here at USACarry I can choose, with the available "Ignore List" function, who I wish to spend my time with. If you don't want to deal with my posts, please feel free to add me to your "Ignore List". It won't ruin MY day!

    Yes there are...and THOSE are the fine folks with whom I choose to spend my time, while logged onto USACarry! You DO realize that Job really wasn't all that patient, don't you?...and who could blame him?

    Nobody is frightening enough for me to put them on my 'ignore' list. Mine sits unused. No matter how ridiculous I may feel the drivel that flows from anyone's keyboard, I will either read it or ignore it at my discretion. One thing I've noticed about a fairly substantial group of people on this site is their inability to just let a statement they don't agree with sit. They are so certain that their opinion is the only valid one and their need to proselytize so overwhelming -- they must argue.

    Much of the bickering and open venality here serves no purpose. It would be nice to have this forum address Concealed Carry issues -- including those political topics related to 2nd Amendment rights -- and leave the hatred over religion and other politics for other fora.

    I fear it's rather hopeless to keep any discussion here from being derailed.
