The good folks over at Redstate published SCOTUS nominee Elena Kagan's thesis yesterday and in doing so, apparently rattled the ivy off of Princeton's prestigious walls, laying bare for all to see Kagan's extreme views. They are more than simply "outside the mainstream" -- a silly phrase coined by Senator Chuck Schumer when referring to Bush nominees. No, really, he had a straight face and everything!

So Princeton, like most leftist indoctrination camps,....er, I mean, universities, immediately pulled the Kagan thesis, citing copyright.

Remarkable, actually, when you think about it. Why in the world would it trouble the powers-that-be at Princeton to have Kagan's thesis available for public scrutiny? Is the red petticoat of socialism under Princeton's skirts really all that shocking to see?

Why be embarrassed about Kagan's views and try desperately to hide them? I say let your freak flag fly, Princeton, and let the sunshine in!

Or maybe, there is plaigarism? Spelling errors? A footnote misnumbered? What could be so awful that the document must be hidden away like the top secret JFK assassination papers until 2029?

And in the meantime, democrats are rushing to confirm Kagan as fast as possible, scheduling her confirmation hearing for June 28, despite some 160,000 pages of documents to review.

Just for fun, let's go back in the judicial nominations time machine and travel waaaaaaaaay back in time.......all the way to 2003!

Here's what the liberal Senators said in 2003 according to democrats.com when they were "rushed" on a nomination. Meaning they only had a couple of years to review documents for a non-SCOTUS nomination, only two measly little multi-day hearings, follow up questionnaires by the truckload, yadda, yadda. Meanwhile, Republicans can't even get a passing glance at any of Kagan's documents. For the confirmation of a lifetime appointment. To the highest court in the land.

    Judicial appointments

AP reports, "Senate Democrats refused on Tuesday to clear the way for a confirmation vote on Bush 's nomination of Priscilla Owen, a conservative Texas Supreme Court justice, to the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans... Republicans asked Democrats on Tuesday to agree to six or 10 more hours of debate before holding a vote. After Democrats objected to both offers, Sen. Robert Bennett (R-UT) asked 'if any number of additional hours would be sufficient.' 'There is not a number in the universe that would be sufficient,' replied Senate Democratic Whip Harry Reid of Nevada... [Tom] Daschle said Democrats needed an unspecified amount of time to make their case against Owen. 'There are very, very deep concerns,' Daschle told reporters." You go, Dems!

    Right.

not a surprise, just that it took them this long to restrict it. obananas records all sealed.....etc etc.
one has to laugh or cry or scream when just not too long ago the left and some on the rigth were ready to impeach Bush over the "unathorized wire-taps" and yet a blind eye is being turned for this administration..... I should explain; those wire taps being labled a horrible violation of our civil rights.........nothing wrong with anything this pres is doing to pull the rug out from under the foundations of the Constitution and thus every right every American exercises.

But the White House promises to place it on the internet as soon as they receive the questionnaire for her appointment to SCOTUS. We know they would never lie to us.
