    Nope. You're wrong.

It was the Industrial Revolution and Capitalism that caused the worker to feel insecure about his existence; he was unsure that he would always have work, he was unsure that he would always be healthy and he could predict that he would reach old age and be unable to work. If he fell into poverty, and be that only through prolonged illness, he would find himself totally helpless being on his own, and society did not accept any responsibility towards him beyond the usual provisions for the poor, even if he had been working all the time ever so diligently and faithfully. The ordinary provisions for the poor, however, left a lot to be desired.

WOW! I have a hard time believing that you are really serious! Poverty will NEVER be eliminated. Historically, charitiable hearts (i.e. churches, individuals) have helped the "less fortunate". It is a personal decision as to how much of one's income they CHOOSE to give to charities. DH and I tithe (10% of our income BEFORE TAXES) to our church and four additional charities that house the homeless, feed the hungry and council pregnant women. For the government to MANDATE charitable giving (through taxation) is just wrong. Who are they to decide for US where our charitable dollars should go?

There is no doubt in my mind that U.N. mandated charitable taxpayer giving, to 3rd world countries, where poverty is rampant because of corrupt despots pocketing all of the national coffers, will eventually become a reality!

Buckle up, Charles. It's going to be a bumpy SOCIALIST ride!

No doubt about it. That has been the whole communist plan all along. Redistribution of the wealth on a world wide scale.
By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house;by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith Heb.11:7

I'll take my chances in the markets. I'm sure you're as great as you imagine yourself to be.

Now, thanks to the liberals with their socialist ideals, the middle class are becoming the poor. With the new government regulated health care system the old won't be around long enough to need any money. Keep living in dream land... I hear it's nice there for the liberals...

    Peace...
You can give peace a chance alright..

I'll seek cover in case it goes badly..

How much money have you made so far as an investor?

I'm sure you're as great as you imagine yourself to be
Were you worth $500,000 when you graduated from high school?

thanks to the liberals with their socialist ideals, the middle class are becoming the poor.
Don't blame liberals for your poverty, six shooter.

With the new government regulated health care system the old won't be around long enough to need any money.
You better keep an eye out for Sarah Palin and her Death Panel. I heard they were going to be operating in your neck of the woods in June.

Keep living in dream land... I hear it's nice there for the liberals.
Life's a gas when you're richer than Mick Jagger.

I'm serious as a heart attack about the American brand of Socialism.

    Poverty will NEVER be eliminated.
    Never say never.

Historically, charitiable hearts (i.e. churches, individuals) have helped the "less fortunate".
That system failed, madam. We tried a new idea. It worked. We kept it.

It is a personal decision as to how much of one's income they CHOOSE to give to charities.
Too bad for you that your neighbors overwhelmingly favor compulsive social insurance to voluntary charity when it comes to relief for the unemployed, old age income, old age health insurance and all of those other Marxist Social Security Programs.

DH and I tithe (10% of our income BEFORE TAXES) to our church and four additional charities that house the homeless, feed the hungry and council pregnant women.
I thought you were supposed to give ten percent to the church. 10% of my annual income could support a thousand churches.

For the government to MANDATE charitable giving (through taxation) is just wrong.
Too bad for you that Americans in 1909 overwhelmingly favored an income tax. Did you know the Senate voted unanimously for the income tax amendment? In the House, the yeas only got 97% of the votes cast.

Who are they to decide for US where our charitable dollars should go?
The duly elected representatives of we the people.

There is no doubt in my mind that U.N. mandated charitable taxpayer giving, to 3rd world countries, where poverty is rampant because of corrupt despots pocketing all of the national coffers, will eventually become a reality!
I'll just take your word on that. I have no idea what it means.

Buckle up, Charles. It's going to be a bumpy SOCIALIST ride!
My goal is to be a billionaire by the time this expansion peaks. What's your goal?
