It's still only half of a 2nd Amendment. The Nine Wise Men have agreed that there is a Constitutional guarantee to keep an Arm, but they have yet to read the word, or its meaning, bear an Arm. And this right still has many, many fringes attached which the Constitution does not abide.

I'm unimpressed. Three steps backward. One step fore. We must fight on. Do not let this minor victory shake your convictions nor slacken your resolve to use America's First Freedom as the lynch pin it is against all other forms of tyrannic encroachment on the liberty of American persons.

I agree it is not perfect. However they did not make a ruling that would be against the right to bear either. They just ignored that part all together. It is a victory though only a partial one. The way things are these days we will have to take victories one step at a time. Of course once Obama gets through stacking the court with Marxist judges it may be the last victory we get.

"Congress has no power to disarm the militia. Their swords, and every other terrible implement of the soldier, are the birth-right of an American ... the unlimited power of the sword is not in the hands of either the federal or state governments, but, where I trust in God it will ever remain, in the hands of the people." Ė Tench Coxe 1789

Cathy, only five of the nine voted to uphold the Constitution...the remaining four are, by virtue of their votes, "anti-2A and anti-gun ownership". If Kagan is confirmed...and I have no doubt that she WILL be...the balance swings in the other direction. The "anti-Constitution" judges will be in the majority. Fasten your seat belt, the "Obama Express" is gaining speed.

What can the concerned citizen do? Stay informed, be vigilant and DON'T GIVE UP, no matter how tired you get. If "we the people" give up, the Progressives win and we lose our country and our sacred freedoms.

Kagan is replacing John Paul Stevens, who is probably the biggest libtard SCOTUS has ever seen. This won't shift the balance of power.

This is not accurate. They are replacing a lib with a lib, so the balance will remain in our favor.

No matter how it is picked apart, this is still great news. To get something like this passed with all the anti-gun elected officials in Washington is amazing.

We are on very shaky ground...

Here' the thing, Elena Kagan IF confirmed by the U.S. Senate will be the 2nd YOUNG & HEALTHY LIBERAL to replace a OLD LIBERAL on Obama's watch...

Elena Kagan is unbelievably more liberal then John Paul Stevens the Justice she has been nominated to replace...

As Sonia Sotomayor is unbelievably more liberal then David Souter the Justice she was confirmed to replace...

Justice Anthony Kennedy is a swing vote (read Moderate/Rino) so-called conservative Justice...

At least 2 of the 5 remaining conservatives have significant health concerns...

While only one liberal remaining has significant health concerns...

We must not be complacent between now & 2012 and we must take back Congress this November 2010...

Failure to do both will result in Obama & Company changing the balance of the Supreme Court and having a poiential impact of 40 or more years...

We must NOT let Elena Kagan be confirmed...

We must knee-cap Obama & Company in November by taking back Congress and we must retire the Socialist-In-Chief Obama...

Stay on your two U.S. Senators, by calling, faxing, emailing and snail-mailing their local & D.C. offices in your opposition to Elena Kagan...
