Thread: The Dumbest President...EVER!

  1. #11
There are a few misnomers here. I don't believe any of the United staes Presidents were, or are "dumb," as the word used in the article means different things to different people. Kind of like "Global Warming," no ?!?!

On a personal level ,my degrees are in Social Work. I consider a doctoral degree in my field to be a colossal waste of time. I carry my social work licenses BEHIND my carry permits, though! Granted, my profession is more or less in the "basement," but I found, like many other professions, the number of letters after a person's name does not equal the amount of intelligence in their head. Actually, in my department, the more letters a person has after their name, the more weaker and inconsistant a worker they are!

Generally, I believe that all of the United States Presidents are/were reasonably intelligent people. Bad decisions? You bet! The article mentioned James Buchanan. What about John Quincy Adams? Franklin Pierce? Martin Van Buren? This would never happen today, but some of these guys were so disliked that they did not get their party's nomination for re-election! Some people think that John Tyler was dumb, too, but he was apparently disliked because he was a small government-states rights guy. Hmmm.... Reagan & Tyler?

Maybe they weren't tough enough, but that's not being dumb. There are some situations in life that will more or less resolve themselves, with little or no intervention. Knowing when to intervene or not has very little to do with the number of letters after your name. I have a co-worker who thinks that Richard Nixon was the most intelligent President of the modern day. Intelligent, but a crook! President Obama, though I disagree with almost all of the things he stands for, is an intelligent guy. However, he is an intelligent guy with an agenda that is vastly different from mine regarding politics, religion, and the direction of the country. I will assume that there are many who feel this way also. I will say that the "dumbness" may be that he thinks he can sell the nation his socialist bill of goods.....but regrettably, we don't have the final answer to that one yet. We could end up being the dumb ones, which would make him one of the more intelligent ones, if his plans work.

Obama has on numerous occasions shown his lack of intelligence. (How else do you explain his choice of Biden for VP? His many missteps during speeches? Can you pronounce "Corps"?). But, do not mistake a lack of intelligence as a lack of cunning. He and his handlers have a mission and a well thought out plan to execute this mission.

The scarier thing to remember is that the majority of those who voted in 2008 chose to ignore what little we knew about Obama, and put him into the most powerful office in the world. We can remove him from office, but we cannot remove the misguided voters from the rolls. Therefore, it falls to us to educate the masses, beginning with American History, followed by The History of The World, with emphasis on Economics 101.

How many of you have a JD from Harvard? Or, a magna Cum Laude from anywhere?
Well none of his actual records have been made public. So I guess we will have to take your information on faith.

Magna Cum Laude 1986 in my case.

Harvard was never one of my choices. Duquesne was closer. Praying my grandkids go to St Vincents or Ava Maria.

Anyone who would say that BHO is the Dumbest President EVER really doesn't know much about American History..
I / You may not like what he is doing, his policies, etc. etc.. but there were far more "dumb" presidents than he is...
Another wasted Political Thread as far as I'm concerned.. Exactly what I expected..

What harm did this thread do? If an indivdual takes the time to start a thread, it means that they felt it had merit and wanted to share it and get feedback from others on the forum. If you were so sure that it was going to be a waste of your time, why did you view it AND take the time to comment on same? There aren't enough hours in a day to read every thread/post here at USACarry. Do what the rest of us do...choose what you think will be of interest to you. If it turns out to be other than what you expected, simply move on to another thread that DOES appeal to you. It's that simple!

Ok.. I do pass over so many of these types of post, but I do pop in on one occasionally to see if there is any intelligent conversation possibly going on.. A dialog of strong points being made, or just the usual everything sucks, there's nothing good, Hitler, Marxist, blah blah blah..
So you stated that people post treads for feed back - and that's what I provided..
I'm sorry my feedback did not meet with your approval, but your approval was not my main intent for my post..
I will continue to ignore most of the political posts on this site, it frees up so much time for me, but I will continue to check in from time to time to see if there are any signs of political intelligent life out there..

This post will probably get me labeled as a commie pinko Marxist Hitler loving blah, blah, blah something or other.. Labels are cheap and usually misapplied.

You won't believe it, but no offense to anyone was intended..

Another poster said that if anyone felt BHO was the dumbest ever that they must be un-educated. So some of us replied with what we say we have as educational credits.
I believe that the word "dumb" was mis-spoke unless you use it as referring to someone that does not speak (original def). BHO has ignored the vast majority of the people and has become "dumb" or mute on the truth.
As far as what I believe him to be, well, that is blind ideologue. He has an agenda and is wearing blinders so that we is not exposed to the views of those not on the extreme ends of social issues he feels (the prime words here he feels)

theicemanmpls; We all know that you believe this, right? Until The Ayatollah-in-Charge comes clean with his college transcripts and financial statements of how his education was paid for, and by whom; plus he produces a certified "Natural" Birth Certificate that proves beyond a shadow that he was born in the USA, then all of what you wrote is pure and simple speculation and wishful thinking!

It really don't matter what you, or I believe. I knew Barry Obama was as crooked as a dog's hind leg first time I heard him make a speech.

I didn't vote for Barry O. I almost did after McCain put that Palin woman as his running mate. What a stupid move. I could see the republicans were doomed in 2008.

Yah know, bitching about Barry Obama's birth, and education records ain't gonna git it done?

If you are unhappy with the present politicians who are in office the answer is simple.

Get involved, and VOTE. Or, at least just VOTE.

IMO.Wasting good server space complaining about a slick Chicago trained African American politician just ain't helping the republican cause.

You notice the republicans in high places ain't talked about birthin babies. Just the right wing entertainers are.

The Democrats are having a good laugh about all this birth record nonsence.

    Why look ridiculous?

Obama is gonna be in office to at least 2012. If the Republicans cant find a way to get their head out of their ass by then we will have another four years of Barry.

I predict Joe Biden will have "health problems" in a year or so. Billary Clinton will step up to the plate and run for VP.

My concern is Hillary Clinton in 2016. That POS gets in and runs things, we are in a world of *****.
