Errr, then you're FOR it as long as the Militia have the property owners OK

I voted Yes. At some point in time a tipping point will occur and the situation will require the American people to act with or without the "gubment".

HUGE difference between guarding/protecting an individuals property versus protecting the 2,000 miles of US border.

How many people would you need to accomplish the task of securing the entire border? No one really knows, but I would estimate in excess of 15,000.

Who will be in charge??? How will these people be housed and fed? What will be their rules of engagement and who will police them to make sure that out of that 15,000 "volunteers", there are no criminally minded, power hungry, people looting or commiting other crimes?

Unfortunately trying to find that many people who have the morals that those in this forum have, or keeping those that don't from impersonating and commiting crimes would be impossible.

    I still vote NO.
A citizen who shirks his duty to contribute to the security of his community is little better than the criminal who threatens it.

I voted yes they should. Until the Federal Government decides to man up and actually honor its own laws, what else can we, the people, do?

Too many people are making money by not closing the Border. If one American Rancher gets killed our Gov should send Troops and clean up one Mex city.

If the american governement is not willing or able to do the job we elected them to do, then we muct take action. Its what this country was founded, its why we have the constitution, the militia etc

If a group of civilian's take control of the border you can bet your life that the Constitution will be changer and we will be like the UK. You can say you have rights all you want but you won't have a gun.

I hesitate to use the term "militia" due to the negative connotation it currently has. Maybe posse or brigade would be a better term. If those volunteering would be required to complete a period of training and background checks were completed it may work. There should also be at least one "regular forces" person per small group of volunteers, say one for every ten. This way command and control would be easier to maintain. The larger this group of volunteers becomes it would be more difficult to weed out the "nuts". I guess my vote would be undecided.

    I VOTED HELL YES…

    IMHO...

Until the U.S. Government (AKA: Socialist, Nanny States Of America...) does their job and secures the border and at minimum enforces our laws regarding Illegal Aliens stealing millions of jobs last year alone from law abiding U.S. Citizens... (and
Imposes mandatory draconian prison sentences and fines to those selling, renting property and employing said illegal aliens)...

NOTWITHSTANDING, NO FRICKING AMNESTY FOR ILLEGAL ALIENS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES PERIOD...

I say put a fricking willing volunteer gun hand on every stinking yard of our Skirt Up, Open Fricking Southern Border... Further, Private citizens should put up a fricking bounty for every-stinking Illegal Alien caught crossing the U.S. Border... DEAD OR ALIVE... Preferably DEAD (IMHO)...

    The Government CREATED THE PROBLEM...
Its the duty of WE THE PEOPLE to correct that problem by whatever means necessary...

What other fricking countries do not enforce their borders?
Cross Mexico's southern border illegally and your liable to never be seen or heard from again...
