Your boys get power on the 3rd of January. Until then the people who elected the existing reps are entitled to their services.

The Constitution was not meant to be a document of convenience - good when it favors your position, evil when you dislike its principles.
As was indicated before in another post, the country was founded as a Constitutional Republic. I stood with patriots on the grass in DC at the 2nd Amendment march in April this year and recited the Oath. I intend to uphold it...
What loyalty to the Constitution do you have? By reading most of your posts you have no loyalty to it and would have it reinterpreted, edited, and contorted to serve the liberal agenda you seem so eager to promote. Pathetic... Yup, still no change...

Most of the American voters have come to the same conclusion; the elected officials in power now are no longer honestly representing the Americans who elected them and openly ignore the Constitution and would if possible, have it redrafted.

Most people have decided that enough is enough... Sure we have to wait until January, but is it really necessary for the brainwashed, backwards a$$ thinking, socialism supporting, Anti-American democrats to continue to screw the American people? It really sends the "F**K YOU, America!!!" message loud and clear. Of course that will make 2012 that much more fun...
You can give peace a chance alright..

I'll seek cover in case it goes badly..

I read "the 3d day of January" just as it is written in the 20th amendment. You read it as meaning something else. Apparently you don't respect the Constitution and the amendments as they are writen but prefer your own inane interpretation of it.

What part of "the 3d day of January" is confusing to you?

In 2002 the people of the state of California decided that an illegal immigrant that could prove compliance with very stringent standards would be eligible for in-state tuition at California State Schools. An act of congress prohibited illegal immigrants from benefiting from such state programs.

Should the State of California be entitled to determined how its taxpayers' dollars will be spent or should the federal government be entitled to override the will of the people of the State of California even though that will does not violate any constitutional rights of any other citizen?

Where are the state rights supporters on this issue?
CA and MA are cesspools of liberalism. I'm not at all surprised that they decided to allow ILLEGAL immigrants to get something for nothing... It's the one world nightmare of george soros and the rest of the "destruction of America" agenda loving democrats.

As a citizen of the US and a law abiding one at that, I say no free ride for those who break the law. If you are here illegally then you have broken the law.

In 2001, California passed AB 540 allowing illegal aliens access to in-state tuition rates. Requirements: Attend a California high school for three or more years, Graduate from a California high school or receive a GED from California, and Provide an affidavit stating the student will apply for legalization once he/she is eligible to do so.

So if the mob rules mentality is what you think should be the deciding factor here, a majority of voters in one state decided to circumvent a law (by disregarding it) that the majority of voters in the nation (by far a larger majority) decided should be applied to all states regarding citizenship. Which decision should become of greater importance?
As an illegal alien they do not have the same rights as a citizen and they should be treated as enemies of the nation. Illegal means illegal... Period... So if I decide I don't like the idea of allowing those who break the law to benefit from my tax dollars, can I get a tax break? I should have the right to opt out of contributing to what I believe to be an illegal activity. Yes? Perhaps I should request a list of those who benefit from the proposed legislature and hand it over to the INS...

The Immigration Nationality Act of 1996 prohibits access to in-state tuition benefits by undocumented students (section 8 USC 1623) It reads “…an alien who is not lawfully present in the United States shall not be eligible on the basis of residence within a State for any post-secondary education benefit unless a citizen or national of the United States is eligible for such a benefit…”

Again it's the constant and consistent abandonment of the Constitution by the liberals... Same old liberal socialist rant. Do more for the non citizens at the cost of the citizens. Take from people who have and make them have less. Destroy the rich, disregard the laws and have a free-for-all... Pathetic... Again and Again and Again and Again and Again and Again and Again and Again...

You sound like you think he really cares. We're outnumbered. The only reason we got Scott Brown in was because we worked day and night, weekends, in the snow and rain, and MOST of the liberals figured "Kennedy's seat" was a given for them. I'm telling you, there was a little old lady shuffeling along at the library where I voted and stood out, and I walked along beside her worried she might slip and fall. I made sure she got inside to vote safely, and even let her go in front of me. When she got inside, EVERYONE seemed to know "Mildred" or whatever, and asked what she was doing out in the bad weather. She said the election was "Too important to the Democrats" for her to stay home. I should have thrown her in the bushes.

I can tell you this. There are things happening in other states which I evidently can't mention here. People are fed up. Feel free to PM me.

Respecting the Constitution as it is written is what I do with vigor...

I recall you were all for having the Supreme Court decide for you what all the words meant.

Yes, the new Congress waits until the former Congress finishes the lame duck session. Then the new Congress takes power and begins to do the will of the people. I have a right to disagree with the legislation that is being proposed by the lame duck Congress and write about it...

"This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it or their revolutionary right to dismember it or overthrow it." -- Abraham Lincoln

So what is the confusion on your part? Oh, wait I know... You need the SCOTUS to interpret it further...

Once you accept federal funding your states rights go out the window.

Third is abbreviated 3rd not 3d.

Why is abbreviation such a long word?
