Tom DeLay Convicted Of Money Laundering In Texas

Former House leader DeLay convicted in Texas

"I am not a federal employee. I am a constitutional officer. My job is the Constitution of the United States, I am not a government employee. I am in the Constitution." –Tom DeLay, in a CNN interview, Dec. 19, 1995.

Sure Tom. And now you are a felon too.

Judge sentences Tom DeLay to 3 years in prison

Senior Judge Pat Priest sentenced him to the three-year term on the conspiracy charge. He also sentenced him to five years in prison on the money laundering charge but allowed DeLay to accept 10 years of probation instead of more prison time.

He still might win on appeal. He will be out of jail while his appeal is pending.

Oh, BTW, that congressman's wife PLED guilty and accepted responsibility for her deeds. Delay claimed he was innocent. A jury decided he wasn't.

Delay now blames "liberals" for his conviction. Those damn Texas liberals all got themselves on the jury just so they could convict Tom Delay.

Dancing with the stars must be proud.

The question now? Did the congressman who's wife plead guilty, benefit from any of the $$?

My point, They come in all shapes sizes and political affiliations. "Let them that are without sin cast the first stone"..

They all have the potential to be flawed...
