Can we shut down the U.N. instead?

It has been said that the government is worried about a shutdown, because the people will then see how little significance a shutdown would have on them...

Never in the history of this Great Nation have I ever heard of a Government shutdown happen before, with the exception of the Great Depression, but then again, we didnt have half the programs back then that we do now. Welfare didnt exist, SSI didnt exist, and they did not refuse to pay troops...
Its obvious, Obama is looking to ruin this nation, he knows hes only going to see 1 term President, and with his lack of political experience, he shouldn't have been elected anyways.
Either way, hes going to see what his poor choices have made when the people stand up and kick the current Government out of power.
I honestly feel if we would stop lending other countries money, countries that dont support our Government or our country, we would be better. If we would stop relying on foreign oil and imports, we would be better off....We need to get ourselves together [politically] and depend on ourselves...
Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American Soldier....One died for your soul; the other for your freedom.

Wow, I didn't realize there'd been that many.

Now we've got a better handle on how old Itstjs is.

The government has shutdown before, and it probably won't be the last time either. At least if they are shut down they can't spend any more of our money!

Rush put it beautifully yesterday. There are two groups of people: those who think your wages the government's money first, and those who think your wages are your own money first. Based on that, Obama believes that repealing a "Bush tax cut," is not a tax increase, because he considers that money to be the government's, since they had "owned" it at one point and "generously" gave it back to the wage earner. It should be the wage earner doing the owning!

If I can cut back on things, so can the Federal government.
