The only thing I would add is this...

Dear United nations the rent for the use of this facility is due on the first of the month...in full from the facilities inception to now. The pistol statue is offensive, remove it or we will have a predator drone remove it for you. Here is a bill for all police actions and UN missions our military has supported over the years. It is also due by the first of the month. If you are late on any of the following payments we will be happy to load you all up in military transport aircraft and relocate you to antarctica where you can discuss world peace on truly neutral turf...BTW stay the hell away from McMurdo station it is ours build your own house...

The next person to gain the Oval Office must find a way to balance the budget. Any future claims to prosperity in this Country stems from that.

The alternative? We will find out exactly what "fiat currency" is really worth. While so doing, we will take down a lot of other Industrialized Nations with us.

"Leader of the free world?" No more. We will be lucky to keep any sembalance of "freedom" at all if the Government can't get it's act together. Personally, I believe we have arrived at the point, passed it even, where we can salvage the present mode and operational method of "business" our Government passes off as "good governance". I had thought, wrongly, that the last election would demonstrate clearly what the priorities of the people are. But, as it turns out, even the hot heads "hired" by tea Party Activism to do the job have fallen into the "business as usual" carosel in DC. (There IS a reason why the approval ratings of the Congress have been in the teens for a number of years now.... no matter what Party is holding the power at the moment.)

Even those who still try to "fix it" are stymied by Dems who "owe" their constituencies financial support. Refusing to see that any effort to balance the budget will require some serious trimming of "entitlements" is the Dem way. Most of their "solid" support comes from the "entitled" voting blocks as it is. They are trapped into their "stand" on the matter. The best they can counter budget reducing ideas with is ad campaigns stating that "...if you vote Rep, they will take away (name your favorite Government to recipient cash flow program here)!"

Worst, it is technically the truth, even if only partially so. While completely doing away with social programs is, obviously, out of the question..... there is simply no other way to go except to trim them back. There ARE countless ways to do so..... but since virtually half of the citizenry are in receipt of some form of Government "break" or direct cash flow of some sort...... the resistance to ANY reductions (real or imagined) is serious and budget balancing stifling.

It's what happens when the Government is depended upon to make your life easier or provide you a living. They are trapped into continuing the error of judgement..... if they don't, then the "dependents" put someone in office who will.

That and that alone will insure that we will not be able to get out of this potential/probable financial crash. Done in by our own refusal to understand economic realities. (It wasn't on the test!!!!)

We get exactly the Government we deserve and have voted for for years. Too late to cry the blues now.

At last we will all be equal. Equally poor. Should make SOME folks happy. (Misery loves company.)

The Republicans cave in to anything. The Democrats care only about re-election. Whatever it is that Americans can do wrong, they do it.

If you think about it carefully, and count the numbers (voters), the following totals can be found to be true.

43% (IRS report, 2010) of taxpayers who filed, paid NO income taxes. Since they are not on the line for trying to fund the Government that way, their only real concern is to KEEP their no tax status. (Vote Dem. Tax those RICH so-and-sos, not ME!)

Toss in Government workers, who, reportedly, earn 20-50% more in salary and fringes than similar private sector jobs. They are dependent on BIG Government for their rice bowls. (Vote Dem. BIG Government = Job security!)

Add to that the companies that primarily make their money through sales and services to the Government. (Vote Dem. Keep that cash flow going!) (Of note: Gov't spending IS 25% of GDP. That keeps a LOT of companies in sheckels.)

Finally, total in all the "Government Dependents" not included in the above. (Vote Dem. The freebee generators par excellance!)

Even a ball park estimate, on the conservative side, would suggest that over 60% of potential voters would have a proclivity to vote Dem, for preservation of their jobs/rice bowls/entitlements if nothing else.

That's a hard fight for a more conservative, budget balancing set of Congresscritters to overcome.

Considering the level of self centeredness thus far exhibited by the people in criticism of "austerity measures"..... it all boils down to NIMBY (Not In My Back Yard!)

Which leaves the burning question, when the Tea Party types and other conservatives sent this Congress to DC this year with the "mission" to cut spending..... just where in the hell did they think it was going to come from? Cloud koo-koo land? We are not just talking about a little tweak here and an adjustment there, we are talking about 40% of Government spending, which gets borrowed just to keep it going at current spending rates. THIS IS UNSUSTAINABLE!

If you are NOT willing to contribute/sacrifice a little to resolve the problem..... YOU are part of the problem!
