    A moment of ranting...

My dreams consist of a world void of progressive ideaology. As these liberal communists and socialist seek to destroy the very freedoms that give them the civil right to spew their trash, society stumbles. These folks don't carry a torch for anyone or anything but their own bank accounts. They use minorities as pawns and lower and middle class citizens as cannon fodder. How long will you accept being the progressive whore of the left wing agenda? The nobles get fat and rich as we die and our families starve. They continually strive to disarm a public likely to revolt should their true design become obvious to the "useful idiots" they claim to champion. Renew and embrace the values our fore fathers fought and died to preserve. LIBERTY OR DEATH!

Well said... don't forget the RINO's like Mitt Romney, Tim Pawlenty, Marco Rubio, Lindsay Graham, Donald Trump and Paul Ryan (and those supporting him) whom are offering watered down versions of the same liberal progressive agenda while touting their so-called Conservatism and bashing true Constitutional Conservatives like Sarah Palin, Michele Bachmann, Alan West, Bob Barr, Wayne Root, and Ron Paul ...

A well known person said "all that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing". And unfortuneatly I see alot of nothing these days. I can always spot a good person running for office however by listening to how bad the mainstream media attacks him or her. Yes I do like Sarah Palin. I think she would make a good President.

    Love this thread.

  6. My dream is multiple worlds with people (so we don't become extinct if something bad happens to one), LOTS of elbowroom (so overcrowded people don't overdo that horrible evil called Government), and a society like the North American Confederacy in L. Neil Smith's Probability Broach novels, where all citizens carry gun and knife, but there is no government standing armed force.

Gee, didn't our Founding Fathers describe a republic like that, calling a standing army "the bane of liberty," or am I misremembering my history?

Gary Johnson must be a real threat because the media won't even let him into the Republican debates in New Hampshire.
"The 2nd amendment was never intended to allow private citizens to 'keep and bear arms'. If it had, there would have been wording such as 'the right of the People to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed'." -- Ken Konecki on Usenet, on 27 Jul 1992

Agreed, all. It's hard being active duty and still being politically active... I can get in trouble if I don't watch it. I try to get into subtle conversations with co-workers and send out emails to them about current topics I'm concerned about with the hopes that they too will want to educate themselves and make an informed choice about whatever matter.

Sadly, the majority just couldn't give a hoot. They don't ask why about anything important... just concerned about their Iphone's Apps. Or, some are very liberal and won't entertain any other view I try to present. I think for many, being in the military has spoiled them. With the paycheck every two weeks, "free" health care(it's crappy), paid housing on base, and in general a lack of connection with what the other americans deal with. B/c we(military) are employed by and paid by uncle sam we tend to forget what it is like to really work for what we have. Now, saying that... for those of us who go forward into battle overseas, we earn every damn cent we make over there and every entitlement we're given.

It bothers me to see so many of my fellow Americans comfortable with being so ignorant! But, maybe I'm wrong... as many of the people around me tell me..."you're parinoid" and other things like that.

    Keep at brother...

It does not take a majority to prevail... but rather an irate, tireless minority, keen on setting brush-fires of freedom in the minds of men.
    Samuel Adams

Having walked in your shoes for 27yrs+ I understand the sentiment, although I would probably not use the word entitlement (only because there is such a stigma associated with it, in that the liberals have perverted it so badly) when it comes to our meager benefits as they are factored in as part of our wages for our 24x7 obligations... sure while we are on active duty we have the steady paycheck, but it pales in comparison to what many average u.s. citizens bring home (at least the ones working anyway) .
