Treason here, treason there, treason everywhere: Is treason the new Nazi?

Godwin's rule: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1 (100%)"

The "Nazi" accusation has become so common it has become meaningless. Join a forum about pet food and sooner or later someone will call someone else a Nazi because of their opinion.

The same thing is happening to the word "treason." Disagree with another's political view: Than just call it treason, because calling those you disagree with Nazis has lost its impact.

Now we have Rick Perry spewing that accusation against Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke because Perry doesn't agree with Bernake's economic policies.

Bachmann hired highly competent advisers, listened to them, and left the crazy lady statements behind to become a legit contender.

Perry saw the void left by Bachmann's transformation and he has apparently decided to fill it.

  3. Yup. Comparing to Nazis is passe, nobody listens when you call liberals "socialists" or "communists" any more, so what's next? Just accuse those who disagree with you of treason of course!

    Perry is filling Bachmans void?

I never understood the name calling, its very counter productive, especially when the person actually has a valid point. I do find it funny when words are used out of context or the person doesn't even know the meaning of the word and is just regurgitating it.

You better check your facts. Bachmann can't go a day without messing up her facts.

If brains were dynamite, she wouldn't have enough to blow her nose. Do you really want a bigger moron as POTUS than zero bama? That's what you'd get. How many gaffs does it take before the general populous dismisses her as just another Palin empty headed moderately wealthy bimbo?

Kind of like the word terrorist to describe the tea party. I think it shines a good light on terrorism which shouldnt be the case.

Teach Michelle Bachmann how to drive. Put her on I-95 North. Welcome to Dixie, Now leave! Some folks need to stay in Minnesota, maybe it will fall into the ocean or become part of Canada, eh.

It's even more perplexing when you study linguistics. Nazi = Nationalsozialist = Nationalist/Socialist = Nationalist = A person who advocates political independence for a country.

Is it just me, or do women politicoes seem to draw more "fire" than your average male politico.

I mean the ladies of "power" seem to get crucified as a matter of course. (Hillary, Palin, Pelosi... now Bachman)

    Just sayin'.
