You are right on with that, however, the moochers voted in the Looters to steal from the producers. Where do we go from here?

This is an interesting thread. I strongly agree with the majority of the posters. However, I would ask that we hold our tempers and not ridicule those with whom we disagree. I just quit a forum where the conservative members repeatedly insulted the liberal types until nearly all of them left. Once in a great while one of those liberals offered an interesting and valid point. From my point of view, it can be educational to hear what the other guy has to say. We won't accomplish anything if we run the opposition off and just talk to ourselves.

Obamas stimulus rescued us from the brink of a a major depression while the Republicans have stalled the recovery and almost drove us to default. Tax cuts and an unpaid war put us on the road to disaster and the continued obstructionism will complete the task. It's time to quit believing that you can have something for nothing, raise taxes and get on with restoring the greatest Country on earth. BTW there is no Santa Claus, Easter Bunny or Democratic Liberal Boogeyman.
    Ah. ANOTHER Obamabot heard from.

Fact: Post "Bush tax cuts for the rich!" (Funny phrasing, that. Seems to me EVERYONE got a tax cut. Oh well, I DO realize the hardships suffered by the math challanged.), Government revenues increased. Thus, a non-sequetor.

Fact: Agreed that the primary causes for the destabilizing of the nearly balanced budget Clinton left us with were the two (ill advised, IMHO) wars and the creation of the redundant and vastly expensive "Homeland Security Dept." If you add up the expenses, year to year, of those two "causatory factors", you will find that they account for nearly ALL of Bush deficits annually. (Both "efforts" widely supported, bipartisonly, in Congress.) But, again, one DOES need some modicum of analytical skill here to observe. None the less, given the "causes" clearly defined, what does our "Hero" do? Fix the problem(s) or create MORE? (Given the Congress was Dem dominated at the time, ANYTHING was possible!)

Fact: Obama tripled down on the level of deficits, right from the git go of his "rule". To the point where the only REAL historic aspect of his Presidency, is the fact that he can, if reelected for a second term, DOUBLE the National debt on his watch. (Fine "legacy" THAT is!)

Fact: If one taxes every cent from Americans earning more than $250K per annum, that sum will "cover" the projected deficit for '12 fiscal year. (Well, 1.5 Trillion less added to the National Debt. Whew. Had me worried for a while there.) Of course, that approach will work only once and never again. (I'll let you try to reason that one through.) So, oh brilliant one, what does one do for an encore for '13?

Fact: While Government revenues were falling due to the housing meltdown, our clueless leader tries to put out the fire by spending money in bushel baskets. Now while one can claim that all that expenditure prevented a depression..... the hypothesis will never be tested, will it? It's conjecture, pure and simple. Inadmissable. What IS admissable is the comparison of observed results versus advertised results, which were used to "sell" this program to the Congress in the first place. Were ANY of the supposed results attained? Nyet.

Fact: While great expenditure of taxpayer money was used to shore up a few of the largest banks in this Country (Too big to fail, remember?). It seems incongruous to allow lawsuits to proceed against those same banks to placate those crying "bad lending" (at Government insistance) procedures. If we force those banks into insolvency, what happens to those "taxpayer loans" then? (Kind of like a certain "Green Jobs" company I could mention that managed to receive half a Billion in Taxpayer money?)

Note: I left the "banking profession" in '90, primarily because I could see where the trend of lowering lending standards (at Government insistance) was going to lead us. I'm only surprised that it took so long for my suspicions/prognostications to come true.

Fact: Well.... the astute amongst us will get the picture. Obamabots never will. I but waste my time.

Bottom line: This is the most economy incapable putz to ever don the title of PrezUS. MOST bizarre in a Nation that exemplifies a robust economy and prosperity. (Well, used to.)

Now you post all the bumper sticker platitudes praising your Messiah? Give me SOME credit here. I don't have a Masters in Finance with a strong second in Economics AND an IQ higher than a turnip for nothing you know! LOL! I can actually THINK! (... and understand.) (.... and do MATH!) Holy crap, Batman..... an individualist! A Socialist's worst nightmare! LOL!

In all fairness he seemed to realize himself that he can not do this without violating the law. True, scary he'd even consider it.
