Imagine the uproar if a Republican White House would have done this. But that's not the case so we can brush it off as a simple non-important mistake just like having 57 state. They better make sure they don't misspell "potato" we know what happens then. Oh wait, we are talking democrats, not news.

Or used the term "Kosovarian" to describe the Kosovar people of Kosovo, like George W. Bush did. Note, I doubt any U.S. president has extensive contact or experience with Kosovo or the Kosovar people, so a simple mistake of linguistics is understandable in that case. That being said, I would expect the president to have extensive knowledge of the United States.

The people of Wyoming better watch out, they might end up on the east coast next year.

G: The most surprising thing about this is that CNN even had the temerity to mention it against a Democrat. I would agree with you that the president should have extensive knowledge of the U.S. but, in this case, eh, not so much. Our expectations have been too high. After all, I'm not sure he is a native son!!

Maybe he needs to talk to his language tutor to learn some more of the "Austrian" language.
